I gave this to my 8 year old sister for Christmas because she loves the color purple and I thought she’d enjoy playing on the couch with it during the winter.The tail itself is decently made for the price, the knit is a bit underwhelming and I could clearly see where the knit ended. The tail is also incredibly underwhelming because it needs to be placed perfectly for it to resemble a tail. At first when taking it out of its wrapping it looks like a literal tube of blanket until you unfold and lay the fins down perfectly. There’s also a hole at the bottom where your feet stick out- why? It seems like a counter intuitive feature to be a mermaid with feet sticking out the bottom... anywayOther than those things, it honestly isn’t terrible. It fits my little sister more than she needs, it goes up to her chest so she can really snuggle inside it if she wants. The color is also vibrant and fun. The texture is not scratchy or itchy which I was relieved about since texture is probably the most important thing in a blanket. It also came with a bag? I guess that’s cool- if you need a bag to put your blanket in.

I bought this for my daughter’s friend’s mermaid birthday party along with a mermaid book. I think it was the favorite gift! She uses it all the time and it’s soft and cozy and actually looks like a mermaid tail compared to many other designs out there.

Overall length is approx 74 inch. Actual usage length is approx 61.5 in. Starts out open at top til you get a lil ways down on back side to the opening that you have to climb in.starts out about 14 inches across at top but quickly narrows until you to 3.5 inches at bottom. You literally have to put it on like putting both legs in same pants leg. It's a lil snug on my 5"5 150 lb teen. Arrived in a clear sealed bag which was nice... glad it wasn't just tossed in a box. So far she lives it. It is truly crocheted and was done so nicely. I'm afraid of washing it when it comes time to do so.

I ordered this for my daughter turning 13! She had been wanting one for awhile and upon my searching I kept coming across really cheap looking products. After some time, I came upon this company and was amazed at what appeared to be beautifully knitted, blanket style products. For our draft lyrics light cabin home, THIS was what we wanted! And for the incredible price, we ordered...and upon its delivery, we were all excited to see that the purple mermaid tail was indeed, knitted with thick yarn and perfect for my my daughter! The quality of this item is impeccable and perfect for laying on the couch in front of the fire as well as sitting on the boat fishing in the evening! I recommend this HIGHLY (and I'm not an online shopper, so it superceded my expectations!) Thank you for providing such a wonderful product, we will definitely order from ya'll again!

This is a beautiful comfy show snuggle... with each scale rising and giving depth to the tail. It is a perfect Christmas gift for my eight year old... and a great gift for anyone that has everything. I slid into it and was really comfortable as an adult.It just seems SPECIAL AND UNIQUE because it is handmade.I'm going to keep an extra one in my closet for any upcoming birthday gifts that surprise me and I need on a moments notice.It was shrink wrapped with no blemishes to the knitting. It looks like I MADE IT after months of work. In the packing, a satchel of something simple and fragrant was packed... so it is wonderfully enjoyable straight from the package.What a find!!!

Blanket color is not a solid purple (violet) color, the one I received contained a significant amount of salmon color yarn, not what I was expecting for a "violet" colored blanket. As for the blanket itself the tail is very nice looking but if you are looking for a blanket to snuggle up in and you are an adult over 5' 2'' you may wish to consider a different blanket as this one is best suited for a pre-teen or very petite adult. I am 5' 7" and the blanket reached my waist. As for odor that some other people mention within their reviews, none - blanket was clean and smelled like... yarn, like it should. However, due to color pallet and size I'm returning this one and will try another brand.

I ordered these for gifts, and two of them came with little bags with the strings. I couldn't very well only give two of the girls bags. Now I have them lying around as I don't know what to do with them. It would have been nice to have them for all of the blankets (I ordered 6). The blankets were all soft and I found no holes. I'm excited to give them to the girls soon!

I bought 4 of these as gifts and the knitting is well done and they seem like a good size to cover your lap. My only complaint is that the dark purple one doesn't look like the picture as it has pink in it which it didn't in the photo.
