Comes with a satisfaction guarantee! How does the Podcast Hotline Kit work? Simple. It keeps thing apart. The TRRS cable is wired to perform two simultaneous functions: 1) Firstly it exchanges signal from the output to a mixing console or an audio interface. 2) Secondly, it also exchange the aux-out/headphone output signal into the input of your device. These two functions work seamlessly together to deliver the best sound quality control. The setup formed by this unique cable makes it as if your guest had their own microphone and headset connected to your setup and had complete control over the sound levels within your interface. This is a modern cable. It offers both quality and functionality. You can use normal dialing methods to connect or your favourite Voice App.

Got it working with Scarlett 2i2
I'm using this to record phone calls and VOIP connections via a smartphone. I was able to get this setup with the Scarlett 2i2. When set up this way, I get great audio quality from a local XLR mic on my end, plus the phone guest on a separate channel.Vinny provided great customer service, and even sent me a free headphone splitter to make the whole thing work. He wanted me to test it out. Well it works great, and so here's my honest review of the setup. My setup: Scarlett 2i2 connected via USB to computer XLR mic connected to the Scarlett 2i2 in the channel 1 input Podcast hotline kit (Red jack) into Scarlett channel 2 input Podcast hotline kit (white jack, male) connected to the headphone splitter (via 3.5mm adapter) Podcast hotline kit 3.5mm connector (male) connected to the headphone splitter headphone splitter 3.5mm jack plugged into the phoneThis setup uses the built-in phone mic for the guests to hear what I'm saying, but records the high quality mic for my audio, and records the guest audio onto a separate channel of the stereo track. Perfect!

Buyer BEWARE SCAM!!! It's just a splitter. DO NOT BUY!!!
Do not buy. It basically operates like a set of headphones splitters. The mic jack AND the audio jack both outputs sound. The Mic jack also outputs sounds. The mic on you phone stays active and the audio is output through BOTH the Mic and Audio Jack'sIf you're looking for a podcast setup, save your money and buy one of these https://www.amazon.com/Kingtop-Adapter-Tablet-Headsets-Version/dp/B01I3A47I4/ref=psdc_2267280011_t1_B07XCXN6WY. Multiple phones do not recognize the adapter as a mic connection.
I've tried to get this thing to work with both my iPhone 6 and LG ThinQ. The phones will not recognize that there is a mic cable plugged into the phone, so the phone's on-board mic continues to be active. I have tried restarting the phones and checking the connection, but no luck. Normal phone headsets continue to work perfectly on both phones, so this adapter is the culprit. The waste of money is annoying, but the extreme waste of time is the reason I felt compelled to warn others with a review.

Works as Expected
I'm really happy with the Podcast Hotline Kit. It works just as I expected. I contacted Vinny and he quickly offered to help me with the setup on my mixer, joining a call to test it out. I had a monthly subscription to a service that recorded over Google Chrome, but it put too much of a burden on podcast guests to be technically proficient with a microphone, headphones and other issues. This works because everyone knows how to use a phone. It's simple, effective and inexpensive. Top that off with great customer service and buying this was an easy decision.

Opens up a new world for conversational and interview podcasts
We are a fairly new podcast (Since Jan. 2016). We do a weekly podcast, and even at that rate, can get pretty stale considering the sport we cover. This single component opened up our podcast doors unlike anything else. The ability to conduct phone interviews is - hands-down - a critical part of the podcast business if your format is conversational. Some of the guests I've had live across the country, and if I didn't have this super, easy-to-use component, I couldn't have done it. My listenership went up immensely because I have this simple - yet effective - technology. If you have a podcast, I would HIGHLY recommend getting this. It's a very small investment for very large returns.

INEXPENSIVE & EFFECTIVE PRODUCT!
I use the Samsung Galaxy S10e and Behringer Xenyx 1204 USB mixer to record calls for my podcast. With this kit and Vinny's TRRS mix minus assembly kit (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08C9GFDSD/?coliid=I17EOFQIHVPEQ&colid=7EI9ZZ0N04KV&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it ) I had everything connected in under 50 dollars. Vinny also does a great job responding to emails and helping with setup.

Single most valuable piece of podcasting equipment I purchased
Of my entire podcasting setup, this is the single most valuable piece of equipment I purchased - bar none. I use it to record interviews through my cell phone and pipe it directly into line two of my Behinger 802USB board. This one cable saved me tons of effort and probably at least as much in other cables trying to patch things together. If you are even considering piping phone calls through a mixing board for a podcast (or whatever), get this.

Simple, Effective, way less expensive than the alternatives.
I'd been looking for a way to do phone interviews for our podcast, and the few things I found were either ridiculously expensive, or just plain expensive. This really shouldn't need an expensive solution, and it doesn't. This cable does exactly what it says. I'm using it with my Behringer Xenyx 1204USB, and a Galaxy S6. Works perfectly. The seller is fantastic, makes contact to be sure it's working for you, and to offer help with setup. Can't go wrong with this one.
