From some of the other reviews here, it seems that some of these arrived with crush washers on them, but others didn't. Mine did. I bought this to replace the original factory valve on my 2018 HR-V (after 103k miles) in an attempt to cure slightly rough idling. The one I took off did not have a crush washer, and was very difficult to break loose: I needed to use a 3ft breaker bar with an extender and a 17mm deep socket on it. You will also need a pair of hose clamp pliers. On the HR-V, access to the valve on the back passenger side of the engine block is very easy. I would suggest putting some copper grease in the threads of the new one, and only doing it up with an 8" ratchet wrench. Honda suggests 32ft-lb as the torque setting. I snugged it with the ratchet wrench, and then added 1/4 turn. Installing this valve fixed the rough idle (though I don't know how long it'll last: I've only driven about 500 miles since installation), and acceleration at low revs feels slightly better, too.

Poor quality metal or out of spec as a non oem part: Honda specification is to torque this to 32 ft lbs. ( 2009 Cr-V, listed as compatible) . The part sheared at the top thread when torqued to about 20 ft lbs. If using this part as a replacement, consider abandoning a high torque spec or using a gonda part. If it shears off in the block, it would be a pain to remove. I installed it more than 30 days after order. Will ammend review if seller accepts return or warranty credit.
