These are fake / plastic shells. Going to return these.
look at the grooves on these shells. they are not natural. they are made in china. it even says it on the packaging. it’s 100% plastic. btw, if want these for loc / twist jewelry and u want real natural genuine cowrie shells, i recommend etsy. just skip this product overall if u want the real thing.

Shells arrived intact with acceptable packaging. Seem to be authentic. Plenty of shells to make several pieces of jewelry or other arts and crafts. Giving this set 4 stars because the string included will not be enough for the amount of shells given. Plan on buying extra string, wire, etc. Other that, I am satisfied!
