I got the LEGO Architecture Taj Mahal for my boyfriend as a Christmas gift, and it turned out to be an awesome choice! We had so much fun building it together while watching movies—it made for a great relaxing and engaging activity. Several people in my family collect the architectural/landmark Lego sets. This set was a fair price and looked amazing! Lego never disappoints.

It was cool. Very fun to put together.

I bought this for my daughter for Chanukah. She is 17 and loved it! She worked on it a little bit for 3 days and then it was done.

Our 40-year-old son (and his four children) are major Lego fans and so I got this set for him for Christmas. I had thought about another set, but when I read in a review from another buyer that they had it finished in a day, I knew that it wasn't as challenging as my son would want. He informed me that it was enough of a challenge to be satisfying.

So firstly, building this set was a fun, relaxing experience. And it is beautiful, too! the domes actually catch the light in a really nice way that pictures won't do justice too. Secondly, I found this set to be quite a bit easier than it was rated. I'm an adult, but I think this could be an appropriate gift for a 12~14 year old with an interest in architecture, and a bit of patience. I had fun building it, regardless. Pros: Beautiful relaxing experience The instructions were very clear It was more compact than I thought (It's just under 10x10 inches, and you can build it in a 3x4 or 3x5 foot space without issue.) Cons: A little bit easy Some parts were repetitive It was a bit expensive (I realize this is par for the course with lego, and it had quite a few pieces, and some unique ones, so I didn't ding it too much for this.) In summary, this is overall a very good set. It's perfect for an adult or adolescent with an interest in architecture. Build time was probably about 8 hours for me, over a few hours on a couple of weekends, and some time after work. This is the first major set I have built since childhood, but I think I was pretty efficient about the whole process, so it could take a little less time, or possibly a bit more.

Got this got my dad for his birthday, we always enjoy building legos together. It looks nicely with his other lego pieces. Instructions were easy to follow and obviously there were a lot of repetition due to it being symmetrical on four sides.
