Terence Conran's Diy By Design: Over 30 Projects To Make and More Than 100 Design Ideas For Every Room In Your Home

Many of the projects are really complicated. I bought it because I read on another website that it has plans for a storage headboard. It does, but it's not the same headboard. This is not Terence Conran's fault. Still, it's disappointing. Anyone want to buy it from me? :-)

This book is presented as a series of suggested DIY projects with full details on how to make them. There is the usual sound advice on design principles from Conran. The bathroom projects are particularly good, there is also a brilliant idea for a wardrobe to build around the chimney breast of a typical Victorian terrace. dimensions are given in terms of "width of your room/2 +2inches" ..that sort of thing, the whole ethos of the book is to make custom built pieces to fit.Nice projects include a workbench and tool cupboard, wardrobes and screen. the kitchen and bathroom sections are presented as a suite of compatible projects in a system. There are a few duds as well.

I've got the other book as well, which includes the garden projects. I've made the kitchen and it's great.

Good book full of design ideas ideal for the first time buyer

Very helpfull book. Good writing, great inspirational photos that completely relate to the text, and useful blueprints and instructions for several projects.I bought a used copy and I am very happy with it.

As I had this book sent to my grandson I don't really know it's condition but think it was o.k.
