I was not, and will not, be compensated for this review! These earplugs are the best I've found. I use them while I'm sleeping because the people upstairs are loud and the floors offer very little noise reduction. I have also used them while shooting at the range. In both cases, they work much better than a similar 3M earplug. These ones are much softer and keep their shape longer, while offering similar or slightly better noise reduction. The foam expanding ones are stupid and take forever to expand to fit your ear canal. These you just slide in, and they have a piece that extends out of your ear to make them easy to pull out. The part sticking out of my ear does not affect or annoy me when sleeping on my side.For any reviewers complaining that these don't completely eliminate noise... you do not understand the purpose of earplugs. They are decibel rated and reduce noise by that level of decibel. Most earplugs are rated between 20-32dbs. These earplugs are rated at 32dbs, which means sounds will sound about 10-15 times quieter than without them (each 6-10dbs sound twice as loud to your brain... it's different when measured by equipment but numerous studies show the human brain perceives every 6-10dbs as twice as loud, look it up). The only way to get true noise cancellation is via very expensive electronic noise cancellation headphones.Also, for anyone with slightly larger ear canals, these work fine! Mine are larger than most and I've bought some similarly shaped earplugs that wouldn't even touch my ear canal if held right in the center of my ear. They aren't gigantic, but if you have to use the large set of pads that come with earbuds, these will fit you just fine. They are also tapered, so they can fit smaller ears as well... my daughter can use them without any problem and she has to use the small pads that come with earbuds.

I have the loudest of neighbours in an old converted building, meaning that there is a huge amount of noise pollution (not to mention having trains whizzing by regularly!). When I need to, I've been wearing these at night, to which I can't hear any of it. They're comfortable to wear - the stems coming out are a little long, but they're easy to fold into the ear or you could chop them off a little. Peace and quiet on a night, but can still hear my alarm before I dash to work in the morning too. Fab for the money spent!

I wear ear plugs for motorcycling, shooting, concerts, etc. These are great- but a word of caution. I cut the stem short on mine, and never had any issues until today. I got one stuck in my ear while out motorcycling. It was stuck BAD. Finally found a hardware store and bought some small needle nose pliers, and husband was able to get it out. I think the humidity and my sweaty fingers made it worse. I thought I could get it, but my fingers kept slipping and pushing it in further. Don't do that...

I don't have time to write this review after I received this product. I just noticed that someone will cut the grass here by the stupid heavy machine early in the upcoming morning. I had a shot yesterday and the noise reduction really works for me. I strongly recommend it!!!

Have been using foam ear plugs for decades for sleep, travel, and woodworking. I decided to give this style a try because I wanted to be able to clean them, rather than throwing more foam into the landfill. These are easier to use and block noise way better. Never going back to foam plugs.

I used them when operating my lawn mowers and my gasoline powered string trimmer. They are easy to insert and are comfortable although I need to remove them periodically to give my ear canal a rest. I have had to do that with other similar devices. One tip I would give is that they are easier to insert if you put them briefly in your mouth to moisten them. I observed race car drivers doing that before inserting their ear plugs. They do a great job of cancelling noise.

I hate to admit it, but I do snore. I have tried every method possible to stop, even buying a very expensive pillow to move my head up and down. It worked, but eventually made sleep uncomfortable for me. My husband used the cone shaped foam ear plugs, but we often found them in the bed in the morning and not in his ears. These are perfect!. The are easy to insert and do a great job of blocking unwanted noise. Best of all, they are still in his ears in the morning. Wish we had found these sooner!

I frequently run a chainsaw all day for a couple days several times a month fire-wising my mountain property. Previously I have used the sponge type earplugs, but the soft ones do not block out enough noise and the harder, more effective ones can become quite uncomfortable after a couple hours. And the earmuff-headset type sound protection would be repeatedly torn off going through the brush.These earplugs are very comfortable and very effective. I can wear them all day. But I do have to be careful when taking them out – the instructions warn not to pull too hard and fast when removing them lest they damage eardrums.
