We use this for soaking only - however we are planning to switch to the original White Bottled one which is more popular
WE only use this for soaking. Do not have the typical stains of schoolboy's uniforms or clothes. However we have recently sat up and taken notice. Seems that the Original White Bottled Napisan is the BETTER product. We will be switching soon.

I first used this product in Africa many years ago. It was great then and even better now. Prompt shipment.

Great for soiled baby clothes!
My best friends sister lives in Australia. She told me about this product and I didn't really start using it till I had kids. Soak a soiled onezie in this for an hour and no stain! Love it!!

nothing happened
a barely visible dirt stain on my son's white uniform was still there after a wash, came out the same as it was before, and so did very lightly stained kitchen towels. Rest of my laundry was not soiled or stained to begin with. I only wanted to brighten up socks and undershirts, it did not happen. I added one lid (30g) as directed to a small load. I used presoak setting on my washing machine. After the wash I applied the paste directly to the stain, it did not work again. I tried to mix it with detergent, did not help. Finally I gave up, I took a Q-tip and applied diluted clorox to the stain and rinsed it off right away. Worked like a magic. Unfortunately nothing works faster, easier and better than good old CHEAP bleach, takes seconds and never fails. I used napisan three times before posting this review. It makes clothes rough, it's not going to be more gentle and safe on fabric than liquid bleach. I am glad I did not pay $38 plus $15 s/h, rip off.

the best soaker
I grew up with this stuff in Australia and I couldn't do without it. It has restored multiple pieces of stained clothing over the years. I used to bring it back in my luggage from Australia, now thankfully it is available here. The best way to use it is to soak a stained item overnight, or even longer. Sometimes I've soaked, washed and soaked again to get out a really difficult stain, sometimes I've had to make a slurry of the powder and a little water and applied it directly, but very rarely has this product failed me.Another reviewer said she added it to the wash - this apparently helps to brighten the clothes but will not remove a stain, you still have to soak.BTW I used this product when necessary on my daughters cloth nappies (diapers) and had no problems with skin reactions.

I love napisan for a decade
I lived in the south pacific where they use cloth diapers or napi's. I used this a lot for everything from table cloths, cloth napkins, personal items (separetly), and bedding. Then we moved back to the lower 48 and I have used Napisan for clothing worn by seniors, bedding, and personal items. I have not found a comparable product in the US. Oxiclean is close, but Napisan is better.
