Bismuth is a really special element due to its natural iridescent properties. Iridescence is when a material reflects colors only at specific angles, causing the surface to appear to change color as you move it. Bismuth crystals naturally form intricate geometric patterns because the outside edges of the crystal grow faster than the inside, resulting in the stunning form you see. To accentuate this iridescent property, I decorated the chain with silver plated spiral beads. The chain measures 18in/46cm long (length can be customized).
