Well made and all worked
1st time trying to build enthernet cables for PoE video cameras. These were so easy to use and with the right crimper made all connections perfect the first time.

One of the best quality connector
great connector. sure beats the cheap ones that have more loss then imagined.

Wish they were cheaper, but wouldn't buy anything else
I made the mistake of buying other connectors to save some money, and it wasted so much of my time. I used these with TrueCable CAT6A shielded cable to run HDMI over CAT. Other connectors had poor fit in jacks (hard to get that click), had tons of noise still, had loose connectors, and robbed me of literal hours of time because of how hard the pass through was to get right. These were simple. Line my conductor wires up and the slid right through. Easy to verify, easy to crimp, tested perfectly, worked perfectly with no noise. Even when used for HDMI (HDMI is much more susceptible to noise), they just worked. Fit in jacks is perfect, easy to remove, etc. Didn't think I could be so impressed by something so simple. but it was just such a relief. I only wish they could sell these at a sub $1.00/piece price without having to purchase so many

There was one part I struggled with
During the process of building a new home, I ran several thousand feet of trueCABLE Cat6A Shielded Riser (CMR) (B079NN5S58). To terminate the ends for UniFi access points and UniFi Protect cameras, I purchased these trueCABLE Cat6/6A RJ45 Pass Through Modular Plugs for Shielded (STP) cable. It's a great setup. Also, the trueCABLE RJ45 Strain Relief Boots, 7.5mm Slip-On PVC Plug Cover (B08MHS9N81) worked well, however, Plug Cover can't be used with all devices so make surety check prior to using them. The RJ45 Pass Through connector was great and my Klein Tools VDV226-110 made quick work of getting them terminated. The one issue I ran into was getting the tabs bent around. I tried several different methods but it would have been much easier if I had the trueCABLE all in one V2 tool (B089B4Z5RV). So. If you're going this route and haven't purchased the tools, you may want to consider the trueCABLE all in one V2 even though the Klein Tools VDV226-110 is rock solid. It will make you life easier as you crimp the grounding tabs for the shielded component. Pros: - Rugged and durable design - Secure cable connection - CAT 6a rated and designed for shielded cable Cons: - Crimping the ground tabs can be a bit of a pain if you don't have the right tool. I was using the inside of my Klein Snips thumb hole to bend the tabs over and make sure they maintaind a shape that would allow for me to install the Plug Cover. It was a bit of a pain. But I prefer Klein Tools so it's what I had to do not wanting to buy the trueCABLE all in one V2. Would you recommend it to a friend? Yes, I would. I've purchased them multiple times.

Worth the money
Tried these after using ones from a kit that someone recommended. The ones from the kits were difficult to pass through the Cat6 I was working with and the cut/crimp tool with it was not getting the job done. After posing the issue to ChatGPT it recommended these RJ45s and a crimper from Klein tools. Both did the trick. These are so much easier to get the cable passed through and seated.

Gamechanger for terminating shieled network cords
These pass through RJ45 plugs are a game changer for terminating network cords. No more guessing on how long to cut the wires - just leave them longer and thread them through the plug. You will need a special crimping tool to use these, but it makes the task much faster and easier. I used these shielded plugs on some cables I buried to extend a network connection to some outdoor access points.

Too difficult for cat 6a shielded cable
I purchased these to go with trueCABLE Cat6A Shielded Riser (CMR), 1000ft, Orange, 23AWG Solid Bare Copper but apparently they aren't designed in a way to work well with that thick of a cable. Every other wire channel is offset diagonally from the other which made pushing the wires through together as a group impossible for me to accomplish. Out of desperation I tried again but this time stripping off at least 6 inches of insulation so that I would have enough length to attempt to insert each wire individually into the correct hole in the connector. After a very long time I was able to do that with the help of a magnifying glass and a lot of trial and error. However, sliding the connector down over that length of wire to get to the exterior insulation was very difficult and even though I barely managed to accomplish it I decided it was not worth the time involved to complete just one connector. This whole process made me regret purchasing their cat 6a shielded cable and wishing I had just gone with unshielded 6 instead and hoped for the best even though I needed runs longer than the length spec for cat 6.
