Q: Can this be used as a sleeping pillow? To sleep face down.

I have. Physical therapist advised I belly sleep with pillow under upper abdomen to align my spine. It really helps. I used Pron Pillow to help me keep neck straight and still be able to breathe. But it's difficult. Need enough regular pillow under upper body to make it feel right. Then as others have said Pron Pillow is hard so I had to pad it. Lot of work, but my back had hurt so bad that all of this was worth it. Can't sleep all night like that though. But to lie prone to for 20 min or so in between doing strenuous yard work, this Pron Pillow is ideal.

Q: could this be used to work at a laptop whilst lying face down?

No, the area under face is to small. I’d look into the Earthlite travelmate as a better option
