I got this for my road trips in my car because inevitably there will be a time I need to charge a laptop or a tool or something else and I will be without a way to do so. Now I can charge a wide variety of items with this 425W inverter - the picture shows my charging my cordless drill battery on a trip.This inverter is smaller than I thought it would be but does not seem cheaply made. It is short but taller than some of the others I have seen before.I like that there are two ways to hook it up so that makes it more flexible for me. I opted for the cigarette lighter plug cord for most of the time but the clamps for batteries help me out when I am working outside around the house with my lawnmower or mule.The fan kicks on loud for about 1 second when you first turn it on, but other than that I could not even hear the fan running. Maybe because I have never ran it up to the limit or shutoff point or in super hot conditions either.This has a safety feature so it will shut down to protect your equipment and the inverter if you plug in something that demands too much power. It can surge up to 825W but it only meant to constantly power 425W which is a large amount for something you are powering in a car. Most of these are 150-300W so this is a bigger one without getting into the RV type/sized/priced inverters.This has a USB port on it as well as the two 120V plug receptacle. The only negative I would see is that the outlets are fairly close to each other so if you had a big power block you might only be able to use one without running a multi-plug on it.Overall, great inverter that looks to be quality made. I plan on using this for a while and I recommend this product.

Great back up when you're in a pinch and need to charge devices via car battery. It can power things up at almost 500w without tripping. 2 3 prong plugs work for charging up batteries or having a spot light while having the engine running if you're working on your car. Also worked to power my laptops and fans while I was camping.

So I’m a technician and I’m on the road a lot. I use my power tools on a regular basis and dead batteries is a problem. My company van comes with no way to charge my batteries up on the go so I got this little power inverter and I have to say it’s super quiet and compact. Does exactly what I need it to do. At first it was just on the floor as I had no time to mount it properly but now that I’ve had the time I mounted it behind my seat passenger seat and it works amazing. I have no complaints. It’s getting the job done I with is came with a longer cigarette lighter power port cable but nothing a little splicing of some wire can’t fix. I extended the wire so I could reach the mounting position and have had no problems. I used the same gauge wire for this. I also wish it had mounting holes on the back kinda like the battery charger but still was able to mount it. Overall I recommend it and love this!!!

I have heard good things about Wagan products and wanted to give one a spin. This was a good opportunity.I am using this as a backup for a second fridge in my truck (when it’s needed on longer trips). The fridge consumes less than 70 - 80 watts with Wi-Fi and everything running. At startup I have seen it spike a bit, but the spike is low enough that the inverter seems to handle it fine. I am not using any sensitive electronics, so this inverter works for my use case. The fan does seem to run all the time, but other than that, the quality seems fine. I have not had it reset on me and I have not had any other issues. I also have not pushed it hard yet because I am not into full camping season just yet. I will report back if any issues arise.

This is working well. I used it to air up airbeds this last weekend while camping without any issues. i think it will work for anything i need it for.

I've been working out on my property acres away from power....Brought this along to charge my tools - chain saw, drill and grinder and worked perfectly. It was nice having it there and not having to stop and go charge things....Worked fast enough I never had to wait on anything - just switched between tools. Overall at least for my uses it's a great addition....will look forward to using it for more things.

This is fraud. My laptop requires 100V-240V input do the 110V output of this device seemed appropriate. It worked the first time. A month later, it errored out. So got just one use out of it. Don't buy it!!!!
