I am giving this 3 stars because it is incredibly accurate but very slow. We purchased this because it says that it is an instant read and saw in comments from the company that it only takes a few seconds but we timed ours at 22-26 seconds to get a good read. (We were using a temperature gun and a sous-vide precision cooker so I know that the temperature wasn’t variable or rising.)

This thermometer worked great for a while. But now, alas, it just shows a temperature of about 130 degrees regardless of circumstances. Tried to contact the seller since it is supposed to have a lifetime warranty but has been unable to make contact.UPdate: I finally was able to make contact with Chef Remi. I was told that the company has new owners as of January 2020 and that they don’t honor warranty claims for purchases prior to that date. So if you thought you had a warranty you probably don’t.

Great meat thermometer, easy to use, on & off buttons clearly visible. Display is clear and it does a very good jobof giving you the correct temperature, I compared it to an old one I had. I also like the plastic tip that cover the metaltip that you insert in the meat. Great buy, terrific product.

I am vegetarian, so do not use this as a meat thermometer. I use it on stove top cooking where temp is important such as candy making, jelly and jam making. In the oven I use it on lasagna, enchiladas, casseroles, pizza, frozen dishes, left overs, you name it, any thing where internal temperature is important. Like the product and recommend it.

I like this thermometer very much. I had one before and dropped in the dishpan and fried it!! I immediately ordered a replacement. This one is waterproof. I do wish the knob to open to put the battery in had more ridges. Harder to turn as one gets older. Also the screen needs to be a bit bigger since this one has so many options.

Initially the thermometer would not turn on with repeated attempts. I requested a return & then as I was packaging it for a return it spontaneously turned on. I had already opened the back when it wouldn’t turn on to look at the battery - LR44 battery. It had white stuff on it - starting to corrode...obviously the thermometer had been sitting on a shelf for awhile. Because batteries don’t start corroding overnight!

I cooked chicken in my air fryer, thermometer worked great to check the temperature of the center.

Very pleased with this thermometer. I bought 2 one for my Mom and a second one for myself. We test temperature on all meat and have found this to be a well made and accurate. Digital read out is way to read without getting you face melted off in the oven.
