High Quality and User Friendly for Micro USB Cable Testing
The resistance of USB cables will determine the amount of voltage drop. Low resistance 18 gauge wire fits the clearly labeled holes in the breakout board and a jumper between the power and ground. Since the power lines in a USB cable are between 28 and 24 gauge, the heavier 18 gauge jumper adds an insignificant amount of additional resistance. This company also make a USB breakout connector for the larger USB end. Low resistance 18 gauge wire also fits int the clearly labeled holes in the breakout board for connecting a milliohm meter. The closed loop resistance reading can be used to calculate the power wire gauge and determine the cable's suitability for your intended application.
