Exactly what I wanted
My wife occasionally lost her locker key at the gym, so I ordered this to link her locker key to her water bottle. It works perfectly, and since then she has never lost her key again. I'm sure the remaining length will come in handy for other applications in the future.

If the light is off and I pull the chain, it turns on. But, if it’s already on and I pull it, the light turns off. How does it know?
