Set-up, set-up, and more set-up.
UQ Holder? Starting an extremely long plot arc? What is this, Negima? Anyway, this volume starts the tournament arc, which is still in its infancy even in the current chapter, 115 or whatever. The story here is a lot of set-up that will hopefully pay off eventually, and compared to later chapters, the character development in this volume is pretty weak. But hey, volume 8 will have the Kitty arc, AKA the best arc of the series so far by leaps and bounds, so get hype for that. There really isn't much to say about this volume.

Totally awesome volume!
Totally awesome volume!! Stunning reveals made which up the ante for the plot going forward from this point on! A fabulous battle scene with a new villain introduced in this volume, also some cool new characters, plus, of course, the whole gang. Not only all this action but good character development as characters either admit or are revealing who really likes who. For those who have read "Negima" this volume ties the two series together with background info. Can't wait for the next book!

This volume marks a turning point for the series.Introducing a lot of characters and concepts to the series this volume is a lot of set-up.It is done well, though, and it leads directly into volumes 8&9 which are highlights of action and character development.

If you liked Negima you’ll love this. Fantastic manga so far, I love the characters, the story and the refined Akamatsu art style. Just don’t read it on a crowded train, it still has occasional fan service...

Uq Holder! bem quando eu assistir o anime eu gostei muito mais me falaram que no manga era melhor ainda. então não tive escolha a não ser compra essa incrível coleção... Recomendo 100%.

Assisti o anime primeiro e gostei muito! O manga esta sendo melhor porque consegui ter mais detalhes, mais personagens e historias que é impossível se adaptar tudo no anime.Este volume complementou o anime
