This is the smaller version of current issue for Gurkhas who are in Iraqi war therefore the name derived after the Iraq. The Gurkhas are deployed since the conflict started for Enduring Operation Freedom in Iraq (IEOF). The Regiment is allowed to carry new kukri fit to the Iraqi desert environment hence the Iraqi Kukri IEOF is issued to Gurkhas. It is about 12.5 inches; in overall length with an 8 inches double Fuller (Angkhola Style) semi-polished blade made of highly graded carbon Steel, very sharp blade. The handle is made of Red Rose wood. The weight of the kukri with sheath is approximately 1.54 lb ( or 700 grams). The shape is different and has hand grip and finger guard. It is full tang running through it making it super strong which is about 4.5" long. The scabbard is natural leather which is off-red color. Two small knives comes along within the scabbard named as "karda" and "chakmak". Karda which can be used to skinning animal skins, cutting papers and for small purposes. Chakmak is used for sharpening the blades of the khukuri/kukri blade. The craftsmanship on this knife is amazing so if you are looking for the finest quality Kukri with low weight and smaller size then you will not be disappointed.
