O-Ring Replacement Kit (1998 to Present) for Sta-Rite P2RA & P2R DuraGlas/MaxeGlas Pump Rebuild Kit 54

We used this kit to repair a leak on our Sta-Rite pool pump. Very pleased with the results.

I'm not sure what a couple other reviews were talking about...this kit had every seal I needed to rebuild my pump including the large o-ring that seals the two halves of the pump housing. These worked great and much cheaper then the local pool store. Helpful tips: Use disposable gloves when applying the lube as it's hard to clean off your hands. Also, resist the urge to pull the o-rings through the lube on your fingers, it is so sticky it can stretch them so they won't fit...especially old ones. Slowly dab the lube until all of the o-ring is covered.

Everything fit except the Seal Plate O-ring Replacement. It was a bit too large. I had to replace the motor, impeller, and diffuser, so the seals came in handy. The water slinger was worn also, so this kit with the 2 part P-200 shaft seal came in really handy. I got stainless steel replacement screws and lag bolts from the local hardware store. After doing all of this, I finally found the manual for my Sta-Rite pump online and found there is a kit I could have bought with everything in it. These seals worked very well and my pump is working--just had to get a seal plate o-ring from the local pools store.

Some of the parts did not fit. My pool pump is very old but I did match up the part numbers with this kit. So I don’t know why they would not fit. I had to improvise and file down one part

This worked perfectly for my pump. All I needed was 1 more for the drain pump since I have 2 but it’s no big deal. It even comes with a little bit of lube but I had mine already so I saved it. Definitely recommend this if you have a leak and it’s not hard to do since there are plenty of YouTube videos on how to do it yourself.

What I liked most was how quickly Amazon got the kit to me in time for my new motor to be installed in the filtering system. The kit had replacement parts that were discovered during teardown which saved money because this mfg knew what would be needed by the installer. I bought this kit after considering the age of my pool system and I'm glad I did. No leaks and very quiet.
