I was pulled in by the good looks and cheap price of this case
Once again, this saying holds true. I was pulled in by the good looks and cheap price of this case. I have to agree that this case does look good, in and out. However, you have to agree that this is cheaper compared to most other cases out there. We started using it and within 2 weeks, screw from one side of the handle came off. I put in a screw without any complaint to seller. And soon, other side comes off. The screw that came off, cannot go back. I had to put in a new one. With in another week, the seam on strap comes out and we had to stitch it. Finally, when other side of strap begins to come off, we decided to contact Amazon. While Amazon is great in customer service with its own products, it's really bad when it comes to third party sellers. We were left at mercy of seller - which is Savannah Trading. They simply refused any help because the warranty was 30 days and I contacted them on day 32. I felt like a fool that I was trying to make it work despite 3 failures and waited until water got over the head. Next time, I need to be smarter about it. And really the way Savannah responded, I would be a fool to order from them again.I did keep an eye on how gently its used. I am cognizant of the fact that usage causes product issues too but it was not in this case.

Love it
This is the second case I've bought on Amazon.com and I initially went with the outer soft but interior hard case so it was covered in a canvas like material. This case as the year went on was completely destroyed Buy my talented pain in the butt daughter. So I decided to buy a full-size hard case and this was probably the best decision I made so far at the start of the school year. This case is durable as convenient and she loves it because she can put her band stickers on the case without ruining it. I was little concerned when the box arrived containing the case because it was 10 times the size I was expecting however, it was very well packed and arrive to looking fantastic.

Let me set the record straight
If you have done even the smallest amount of research on oblong violin cases, you know two things; either that they are expensive ($80+) or cheaper but with mixed reviews. So I tried my luck with this one, finding it to be the cheapest oblong case from a reliable seller on amazon, but with its share of mixed reviews. For $30, you can't go wrong. The case is light and sturdy from the outside. Inside, the padding is a very nice golden color. It is hard and seems protective. It isn't the best quality padding, you can feel the rough edges with your hand, but again, this case is more than half the price less than other cases, so I didn't purchase it expecting perfection. Nonetheless, I think the padding will last and protect my violin well.I am also pleasantly surprised to find that the case came with shoulder straps and a dust rag to cover your violin. The description didn't say these were included and to discover them made this case an even better value. So, if you're looking for a case that is reasonably priced, but still able to protect your violin adequately, this is the one. Look no further.

Nice Case
My son got a very nice oblong case with his new violin. When he had a 3/4 violin, he had the traditional type of case where you have to squish the shoulder rest just right to get it to fit. He found that he prefers the oblong case because there is much more room for a shoulder rest, rosin, cloth and sheet music. And it all fits easily. My son has a cheaper violin that he keeps at school. I needed a case for that one but I did not want to spend that much money - since it will not get a lot of use. This case is nicer than I expected and very light weight. It has plenty of room for the shoulder rest and rosin like his more expensive one. I will admit it's not quite as plush as our expensive case. But it is a great, inexpensive option. The violin is snug in it and should be well protected and zippers seem to work well. For the price, you can not beat it. I read another reviewer saying the interior was shedding getting on the violin and that concerned me. But that is not my experience at all. I got the cream colored interior as I liked the clasp on that one better. I don't know about the green interior one. But the beige one had no shedding or issues. I'm very happy with it.

A great buy for the money
I am a professional violinist, for the past 20 years was teaching full-time, became a single mom and neglected myself as a performer "big time". My old "fancy" violin case became shabby and I decided to buy this one. I was so pleasantly surprised! It feels and looks even better then promised. The case is very comfortable to carry, extremely lightweight and beautiful inside. What a treat!I highly recommend this case to players of all levels, from beginner to professional.

Non-functioning latch, very cheap construction - - LOOK ELSEWHERE!
When the case arrived the first thing I noticed after unpacking is that the latch was not engaged, and when I tried pushing it in the button wouldn't budge. So, figuring it was in the locked position somehow, I put in the key and turned it but it did nothing. After closer examination, the little cam inside the latch fell out on the floor. That would explain why it arrived unlatched. So, the latch mechanism left the factory non operable. That was strike one. Strike two came shortly thereafter when I noticed the fabric inside the case was extremely thin, you could literally see through it! No way this material would protect a violin, especially seeing there were no suspension pads in the bottom. The last strike was the obvious cheapness of the zippers, that were very stiff and hard to get going. I packed this thing up and shipped it back the next day, a very easy and simple task thanks to Amazon. Take my advise and save up a little more $$ and invest in something a bit more substantial. I figured for the money that it wouldn't be a professional case, but come on - - I wouldn't recommend this case, even for a beginner with a cheap Chinese fiddle. There are better values out there, and almost anything would protect your instrument better than this one.
