Modifying to work with Sennheiser headpones with their proprietary twist lock cable plug.
Works well ... I am using this on my Sennheiser HD 558 Headphones, in place of the custom cord and connector that they come with. It takes a small modification to the headphones to do this. The real Sennheiser HD 558 cord is removable at the 2.5 mm plug in the left headphone, but has two little nubs that stick out into the jack/connector hole, locking into a pair of slots in the 2.5 mm plug end of the cord.I used several varying size drill bits, increasing by 1/64" each time, from 12/64" to 15/64", hand held, to shave off those nubs. I put each bit in the Sennheiser jack hole and gave it a couple of twists, shaving a little more off the nubs each time. If you don't have such a drill bit set, then you'll have to figure out some other way to improvise. This mod can be done without any disassembly of the headphones, other than the simple unplugging of the original 2.5 mm plug from the left headphone, however I presume it voids your Sennheiser warranty.Someone on a Youtube video, and also someone in one of the Amazon reviews for this Sennheiser HD 558, suggested disassembling the left headphone and removing the plastic jack piece from the left headphone that forms the plug hole with nubs, but I do NOT recommend doing that, as it would weaken the mechanical support for the tiny circuit board that holds the electrical socket and internal wire connectors. The original Sennheiser cord still works, if I want to use it, but no longer is kept in by Sennheiser's proprietary twist-lock mechanism. You no longer have to give it a twist to remove it. But now replacement cords, such as this 1.5 ft cord, also work, if they have sufficiently thin plugs. The fit is snug, with either the original Sennheiser cord, or this 1.5 ft cord, so there is no problem with the plug falling out when not intended. The actual plug in this product, at the thick part thats dark silver color, is between 13/64" and 14/64" (or about 5.35 mm) in diameter, so I probably shaved off a 1/64" more from the nubs than I needed to ... which doesn't seem to matter that I can notice. The original Sennheiser cord in the HD 558 is 3 meters long, with a 2.5 mm jack on one end (with the two little slots for the interlocking nubs), and a big 1/4" jack on the other end. The thickest part of the Sennheiser's 2.5mm plug is 6.6 mm in diameter, so the 5.35 mm (at the thickest, silver, part) plug on this product fits easily into the Sennheiser HD 558's jack, once the Sennheiser's nubs are shaved down a bit. If you want a cable with a smaller 3.5 mm plug on the other end, as most portable equipment uses, stepping down the big 1/4" plug with the Sennheiser provided adapter to 3.5 mm is cumbersome, and a common source of complaints with the Sennheiser HD 558's.

Works perfectly with Bose QC 35
I purchased this cable so that I can use Bose Quiet Comfort (QC) 35 when I cannot use Bluetooth (like when I am flying). I only used once at home, but my first impression is pretty positive. The cable is long enough and thick (but flexible), and seem significantly durable compared with flimsy cable that comes with QC 35. As some reviewer mentioned, when you connect to QC 35, the plug "clicks" into QC 35 giving me the impression that the cable is properly attached. QC 35 works with the cable. When I turn off Bluetooth of my iPhone, QC 35 automatically switches to getting sound from this cable, while keeping the noise reduction capability. I am happy with this acble and am looking forward to my long flights.

Very good cable, but I needed shielding from some interference...
I needed a cable to replace the OEM one sent with my Bose QC35s. Yes, yes, I know the QC35s have Bluetooth, but I have been experimenting with using my computer for phone calls, which also uses my Blue Yeti microphone. I was told that there was a lot of echoing when I used the external speakers and the microphone, so I tried the QC35s with the supplied audio cable to plug into the Yeti -- and it was fantastic with two complaints: the length of the audio cable left much to be desired and I was picking up interference from some outside source that came across as a humming noise that was noticeable to the other parties on the call.I ordered this cable in the 9 ft length and am very happy with that aspect of it. I was hoping that by using the additional length that I could re-wire the audio cable away from whatever was causing the interference but have not succeeded. I can get it to go away at times by repositioning the cable manually, but any shift in the cable will inevitably bring back the humming. My boss commented on the humming today as it was so loud. After several days of experimentation, I have ordered a shielded cable from another company.Overall the cable is very nice -- looks and design both seem to be good, and I believe it to be a higher quality than the one that came with the QC35s (not a surprise). I just can't make it work with my semi-unique setup. Hopefully the shielding of the other cable does the trick for me. I will be re-using this cable for another purpose (and happily so).

Works with Sennheiser Urbanite XL!
Works with Sennheiser Urbanite XL!I was looking for a simple audio cable without phone controls for my urbanite xl, and this fits the bill. the 2.5mm plug is very thin, and fits in the ear cup slot easily. just make sure you give it a firm push so it clicks in all the way. the cable is on the thinner side, but seems sturdy enough. all in all very happy with this cable.

Cable works as advertised
This cable is exactly as advertised. It worked very well as the 2.5mm fit into my Bose QR35s perfectly and the other end can be plugged into any other sound source. I really only used it on the plane as the QR35s are wireless, but to watch the entertainment system on the plane, I required plug-in capability. I am very happy with the cable and more than worth the money paid.

Works perfectly with QC35
Edit: Unfortunately, after owning and using this cable for 3 weeks it has completely ceased to function. Can't be from use as I have not unplugged it since first plugging it in. Hate to say it's just a faulty product but reading all the other reviews that seems to be the case.Bought this cable as it was longer than the one that arrived with my Bose QC35s, and as I now have a standing desk I needed something that could go the distance :P This cable had a perfect fit and very satisfying click into the back of my laptop and into my headphones. Others said they received a cable and only one side functioned I didn't have that problem everything works great and the cable seems very sturdily made; I'm considering ordering a duplicate just in case I ruin this one
