Great multimeter for this price for ES/ET uses.
Upon opening the box, I was pleasantly surprised to find a very quality device. The outer rubber boot encases most of the meter aiding in protection and adding a nice aesthetic feature to it. The meter features separate backlight and flashlight buttons, auto off on the backlight then the LCD in an unused state, also the screen is large and clear to read for a meter this size. The dial selector is tight and has has a nice click to every setting. The face buttons are a bit gummy, but have a nice click to them as well.Functionality is exceptional for this value. I can get ohms readings and DC low voltage readings in the autorange mode 4x faster than my previous meter could at twice the price of this unit, an use manual range to test my known values. My previous meter was a green one from the orange box store with similar but less options to this unit. If you know electrical tool brands, you'll guess what I had. Sickening that a large chain can sell such garbage testing equipment for the prices they charge.I work as a commercial electrician specializing in Fire Alarm and BAS. I need two types of meter. I call them my nerd meter and my work meter. .I have a Fluke 323 for testing 110-480v nominal purposes, so I won't review this meter at those ranges and this price. A $24(USD) meter isn't trustworthy enough, no matter how great this meter may be otherwise. The alligator leads that come with this meter are a game changer for me. It is extremely inaccurate to check continuity on a kilohm and megaohm scale with sweaty fingers on both leads searching for a resistor, ground fault or device feed. This alone will save me a ton of time in testing and troubleshooting my systems. The only thing this unit lacks is a case with a carabineer hoop for transporting in the tool bags.If this thing dies in any less than a year, I'll let you all know how and why it did so, I doubt it will be an issue though.

For the price this is a decent multimeter
I own five Fluke multi-meters. All of them are different models but roughly do the same functions. One of them was left behind on a vehicle I was working on, and have never seen it again. I decided to take a chance on this one since it had AUTO ranging, True RMS and other functions and features like my fluke meters. I am pleased with the accuracy so far. For the price I do not think you can go wrong with this meter. ( My fluke meters cost on average of $300 - $450). But I am disappointed in a few things.:: In the pictures it seems to be the same size as a Fluke meter, but it is not. It is much smaller, making it harder to read the LCD display as compared to a fluke. My other complaint, is the test leads are low budget and not comparable to fluke at all. But for this price it is understandable. I have not tested every feature and function, but the accuracy of voltage readings and resistance readings have been very accurate. The continuity test is good also. I think this is a very good level multi tester. I am a professional electrician and will use this everyday. I will report on how it does in a professional setting. I have dropped my fluke from on top of a 8 foot ladder and it was ok. I have not done that with this tester, but it seems solid.

Lots of functions for a inexpensive DVM
Amazing what is available out of China in the way of test equipment for very little money now that most US manufactures have been bought out by a single VC firm. Tested this unit against my calibrated Fluke benchtop. It's accurate to 0.2% for a quick sample of various measurements that I made. Backlighting only stays on for 15 seconds, but it's powered by two AAA cells, so I can see that tradeoff.

The Meter Gotham Deserves
Ordered a "Proster" but was delivered a "Vici" that looks the exact same. This may happen to you too but don't worry about it.The vast majority of multimeters sold across the world are made in the same plant in China with the same equipment and the same components and go through the same QC process. The boxes they come in don't even have individualised branding. If you wanna go be a multimeter manufacturer go pick out a body style, function set, and favorite color for your cool "shock absorbent rubberised bumper". Call yourself Electrico or Prolectric or Voltistix. There. Now you too have a line of multimeters. It measures 100% the exact same accuracy as my $200 Official Fluke® Brand FLUKE® 117® ELECTRICIAN'S IDEAL MULTIMETER® WITH NON-CONTACT VOLTAGE®.Know why?See above.

Does everything well
Amendment 1Ignore the earlier report of missing themocouple and cable. My fault; just found it on the floor under my table where it must have fallen as I was unpacking the meter.Up graded to five stars; I have been using it for two days and find it very useful.- - - - - - - - -Arrived today, but without the listed thermocouple.Don't really need it, but somehow feel "cheated."Meter works and seems to be pretty accurate.NOT for novices; instruction manual written by non-Enlish speaker and not very illuminating.Full of techie terms that many will not know, e.g. my kids, my brother and half of my work colleagues at the University.

Pretty good so far
A reviewer on Multimeter on YouTube sent me here. What I got is the same model as listed but branded with Vici. I guess no difference and it was expected since another reviewer mentioned getting a Vici as well. So far so good. This replaces my expensive Fluke meter I lost some time ago. I have nothing to compare it to in terms of accuracy. I've used this on my car to test battery, alternator and home outlet. Does what it's supposed to do. I will be using this to diagnose my malfunctioned microwave soon.Comes with a manual. It seems they jammed the goodies into a box that's a little too small. That's my only negative comment here.
