Melissa & Doug Vehicles Wooden Peg Puzzle (8 pcs)

I love the Melissa & Doug line! Some of the reasons why- Handcrafted Quality Non-Toxic (important when you have kids who put everything in thier mouth) Value This puzzle has been a hit! I love Amazon too because I saw the same one a few weeks ago priced at 15.00 so I feel like I did great picking this up for less than 8.00! My son is 18 months, the recommended age says 2+ but he really has gravitated towards puzzles so if your child is younger than 2 and loves puzzles, I don't see why this wouldn't be appropriate, the pieces are big enough that they are not a choking hazard. The puzzle pieces are also educational, we do the puzzle together and we say the names of the pieces-plane, bus, ambulance ect...he enjoys that connection. His favorite piece is the bus lol and every time he sees a bus lately he has said bus! So I like the fact that these pieces are related to things we see regularly. Underneath the pieces are corresponding pictures that make it easier for them to match the piece. Puzzles are great for enhancing memory and hand eye coordination in little one's. This non-electronic toy is played with more and used more for learning and development than any of the electronic toys I have, so it is well worth the price.

Good puzzle for 18- 24 month old just learning to do puzzles.

I purchased this for my grandchild. I wanted to keep him occupied in a healthy way and this does just that. It requires enough effort so that I know that he's learning while having fun. Is durable and retains its colors. It does require effort but reasonable such that he's not bored with it.

Like the majority of the Melissa & Doug toys, the quality was very good and our kids liked it. They enjoyed the colorful puzzle pieces. They pretended to make the sounds of each of the vehicles. Will recommend if you want an educational toy for young kids.

I purchased this puzzle for my one year old grandson. He's great at taking the pieces out, but will need to develop his small motor skills a bit to put them in. The puzzle and pieces are well made, easy to clean, and a great first puzzle.

This puzzle is so cute for the little truck lover in your life! It is not super thick and easy for little hands to hold the knobs and put the pieces where they go. The trucks are colorful and clear and easy to match where they go. This puzzle is teaching my two year old patience, matching, and making things fit.

Initially for me, this vehicle puzzle was just one of the many puzzles my 2-year toddler owned. Then this became "THE PUZZLE", soon after his newly found love for the vehicles became more and more profound. He loves to remove all the chunky blocks himself. I then mix them all up. For me it was truly admiring how his young mind quickly grasped the concept of rotating the blocks to achieve the right orientation. The puzzle is chunky with no sharp edges. What I quite liked is the different contour of each block which tests a toddler's hand-eye coordination and helps sharpen it. The pegs were of great help before my toddler mastered his pincer grasp. It's made up of very sturdy material and the puzzle had lasted with me for more than 1 year and remains in perfect condition. The price may be a bit high and I have bought I other puzzles that were cheaper, but they did not stand the test of time and many times were not baby safe.

Need to sand the edges, rough.
