Westmark Multipurpose Measuring Cup and Mixing Pitcher with Splash Guard, 47-Ounce (Red)

The reviews I read on this product were accurate and true. The quality and construction are excellent -- true to German engineering ;) It has many nice features, from the lift-off center portion of the lid so I can use my Cuisinart stick blender with it, to the pour spout, straining spout and close option in the lid. Best of all, it does not budge/slide on the countertop. It has a lower profile in the refrigerator than my Cuisinart measuring vessel, which is made of plastic and scratched over time, rendering the measurements faded.I purchased this item specifically for making hummingbird feed/water, and the hummingbirds love it. Since the lid can be turned to enclose the contents, it is an added bonus, i.e., I can keep it in the refrigerator and change the water every other day. I plan to buy a second one for my stick blender. I highly recommend this item to anyone.

Large size, love it. On this, either get your metric comparison sheet/on phone ready ... No quarts, cups, fluid ounces, etc. None of that on this measuring cup. Or get another measuring cup out that has the metric & American measuring system. If you know your metrics, you're in good shape & forget about my instructions.This is well made w/ lid and venting. I like it!

Purchased to make sauces with an immersion blender. I was scared the blender may bust it, but with a plastic cap on the end of the blender, they have worked well together. A little small for what I need, but I make it work.

The pitcher is sturdy and well-made, but it loses a star for extremely misleading and inaccurate measurement indicators. It's a great size, but we cannot use it for measuring ingredients and have to use a separate measuring cup. The accuracy in ml is ok considering this is a large measuring cup and the corresponding ounces are correct, but note in the picture that they equate 20 oz to 1 pint rather than 16 oz. If you're not careful, this could throw off your recipe.

I really like this mixing/measuring cup. It's especially handy when I use my immersion blender since it keeps the ingredients from splashing.Contrary to what some reviews say, it does have US as well as metric measurements marked. You just have to look at both sides of the jug to see which ones are which.I use this container a lot. In addition to using it with a mixer or immersion blender, I have begun making my sponge (poolish) in it. It's a good size for that, and I can easily see how much the starter has grown. I also love it for pancake batter. The spout lets me dispense the batter without using a ladle or spoon.A good price for a well-made product.

A very handy item! I had been searching for this and it was hard to find a not too big bowl with fitting anti-splash mixing lid. Mixing bowls are often far too big and holding an 11 inch anti-splash screen over a 9 inch mixing bowl to whip some cream or mix a batter for a small cake is really a struggle. This bowl (that also can be used just for measuring in a number of different units) has a removable lid with opening for your mixer, and there is a cover to close that opening which turns it into a storage bowl - keep the batter or whipped cream in your fridge. Very glad that I found this.

Nice sturdy product with practical uses. I was unclear just exactly how big it would be, as I wanted to replace an old version for my MIL. It turned out to be smaller than I wanted, but I will give it to her anyway. So I also ordered a larger "bowl" version as well. Hopefully between the 2 she will be satisfied.
