No, the only network-related thing this would change would be the MAC address (as its a different network device so will have a separate MAC address) - which is just how your device is identified externally. Ip address and gateway/subnet will all be down to the network your connecting to.

On the device i've got one green light and one amber light. are they both meant to be green? if so how do i make it go green?
