I like these....once I got use to them. I like that when I push down and stir they scrape the bottom of the sauce pan better than the regular shaped whisks.

I do a lot of baking and cooking that requires whisking. I've had my old fashioned metal wire whisk for ages and it's always performed perfectly...until I need to whisk something while cooking it such as the case with custards and gravies. While I *can* technically use my metal wire whisk, my pots and pans do not appreciate it. My teflon pots and pans could lose their coating and my non coated pots and pans get scratched up. Plus the noise of the metal on metal action is horribly grating to my ears! I don't know why I didn't get a silicone whisk sooner, it's so much quieter than my metal whisk, but just as powerful! When I first opened these up, I was a little put off by how fragile the whisk appeared. It was a bit floppy and I wondered if it'd be able to make it through a roux or really thick custard. Turns out my worry was for nothing, these whisks both perform fantastically. They are really light too, which I like. My heavy duty wire whisk tends to hurt my wrists after a while of use but I haven't had nearly as much pain from using either of these. There's a large whisk and a smaller whisk and they work exactly the same. As with most of my baking equipment, I haven't put them through the dishwasher. The handles are hollow so if they aren't fully sealed and water got in there it would be a nightmare to fix, and I doubt it would ever really be able to dry out again. I think these whisks are just awesome all around! Two different sizes come in this pack. And they are just beautiful! Even my kids think they are totally awesome (never thought they'd feel that way about a whisk!). They are light weight, and they whisked up eggs this morning really well, much faster than my old standard whisk. The metal whisks I used to use got rusty, broken and bent. It doesn't look like these whisks are capable of doing any of these things. I washed it by hand and it cleaned up nicely, however, I understand that it is top rack dishwasher safe. I also like that it has a flat bottom, so if you are whisking gravy or other sauces in a pan, it covers more area.The only con I see is that sometimes I only whisk a small amount, or in a small bowl and these whisks are quite large, even the smaller of the two. I like these whisks because they are decorative. I wish the silicone parts were stronger, would not work well making a thick/heavy sauce. I do like the fact that they get the entire bottom of the pan.

I reviewed these whisks in a very timely manner. I loved the colors. My grandkids loved them too. They love to use them and clean them in the sink. I love how they mix every thing so well. Maybe because of the unique design. Nothing gets stuck in blades like the rounder ones. You can spend less time mixing. Another great feature is the coating so they don't rust. They will go in the dishwasher easily and come out with out issue or worriing about rust. I would recommend these whisks if you like making your life easier. I have received this product at a reduced rate for a fair and honest assessment.

These tongs are very useful for whipping up anything that does not flour; other wise they are a little hard to clean. Thank you for the discounted price!

I am a retired professional chef and successful restaurateur with over 30 years food experience. I received these whisks at a discount in exchange for my honest and fair review. These whisks arrived the day before Thanksgiving and I decided to put them to a test when I prepared my Thanksgiving dinner for my family.I was excited at first by the unique shape and multi colors of these whisks. However, this excitement quickly changed to skepticism when I picked them up and felt how light and fragile they were. The wires loops are made of very thin silicone coated wire that is glued into a piece of silicone inside a hollow stainless steel handle.When put to a practical test, the whisks performed poorly for when I tried to whip a couple of egg whites into a simple meringue. I found that I needed to return to my trusty wire ball whisk to complete the job. Same problem when I tried to whip some heavy cream and again I had to resort to a standard ball whisk to get whipped cream firm enough to serve. The one test where these whisks did a decent job was when used as a gravy whisk as the unique shape of the tornado head did a good job of mixing the gravy from the corners of my deep, straight sided pot.What saved these whisks from receiving a one star rating was my young son who found the light weight and small size perfect for his hands. He loved the colors and the unique head design. These whisks are now his and I will stay with my wire whisks, which although no where near as colorful or dramatic looking, work wonderfully every time. I strongly suggest you do the same.

Love, love, love these Silicone Tornado Whisks! I whisked some eggs this morning and in a few whisks, the yolks and whites were creamy yellow. Also easy to rinse under water or shake clean in dishwater. Goodbye to my old whisks!
