Randomly works. Directions are clear but does not take video 3 times out of four tries. Half of the time there is no video or the file ends of corrupt and not playable. Planned to use it on my son's archery bow but not worth the headache. The times it did work, the video was very clear and decent quality. Interpreting the flashing light to figure out what setting it is currently on is a pain. Needs a simple toggle switch to make it easier

Impressive definition and sound. It does work to capture for motion detection. However, it is described that a full battery charge will record 1 hour of video. This is an absolute lie. I had set this camera up to catch someone at work who had damaged something of mine in an area that is not occupied frequently. I gave them the option to return a note I left for them to explain why my property was damaged. They eventually did leave a note saying they apologized and it was an accident, but I obtained no video so I do not know who it was. This was the reason I purchased this camera because it literally says it will record 1 hour of video and the motion detection will shut off when there is not motion. I captured about 7 points of video over the course of an hour and the device battery was empty. Each video was 1 minute of me in the area, putting something in a drawer, or getting an item. That's about 7 minutes of record time. Certainly not 60 minutes! I suppose it could be plugged into a bulky charger but that would have certainly made the hidden camera part a lot less inconspicuous. Very misleading. It's almost useless to use this and rely on its internal battery. For the price, I may keep it if it is a good night life camera, but it will not work well as a security camera if something suspicious is happening unless you can hide it will in addition to a power pack. And I haven't tested that yet so I don't know if that will work for many hours.

This little guy works well. I gave it 4 stars because it does what it should but could do it better.The camera came with instructions and it is easy to set it up. However, it only has 2 buttons, a power on button and a mode button. You have to have the instructions to be able to configure it for the mode you want. The LED light on it does provide some feedback but it is a bit of a pain to count the blinks to make sure you have it working as desired, and you have to take it on faith that it is.What it could do better/Product improvement suggestions.1. Allow the camera to use motion detection mode to take still pictures as well as video. Currently it only does video, which is very limiting if you have a lot of motion, the SD card fills up very quickly.2. Allow the use of the text file to set the camera mode as well as the date/time. This is an old school way of doing things, but man it would be awesome since you would know what mode the camera is in without having to read the button pushes. A good coder should be able to make this happen while still leaving the button pushes functional as well.If these two things were added, I would purchase another one to get the functionality.

Wow what a great little camera! Both the picture and night vision are really clear. I use it for security and really appreciate the radar motion vs passive IR and having no WiFi makes me feel it’s more secure. It seems 99% of the market uses passive IR with WiFi which opens vulnerability's in a security system.Be sure to use a good carder or better yet just use the camera plugged into the computer to view the images.

The quality of the recordings are good but the camera operation is not user friendly at all. The camera does not auto switch from day to night mode. You have to push a series of buttons to do that and you are never sure if you are in day or night mode. Also, you can't leave the camera pulled into a power source. It say not to do that in the written directions and the battery won't last thru the night. Not a good camera for unattended surveillance.

Overcomplicated. Not worth the time, and energy, to actually try to use this. Keep your money in your pocket ;)

Multifunctional camera for more then just security. Wear it for recording action shots while fishing, hiking or biking. Mount it on a wall or conceal it for monitoring a space to capture whatever or whoecer comes into that area. Can be used as a night watch because io its built in low light sensor. Stills or video can be taken with this little cube. It can take up to 32 gigs memory cards so when one card us full just swap it out for a blank card and keep on recording. Goid value for what you get and what it can do.
