Are these compatible and functional in the UK?

Unfortunately not, I purchased these hoping they would work with a 3rd Gen Nest Thermostat. Google confirmed they are not intending in the near future of updating for UK/EU. Returned them now waiting for refund.

This item does not work in the UK, I purchased this item and tried many ways to get it connected with no success. I eventually spoke with the US help desk who confirmed that it is not supported in the UK. So your question is quiet right, why is it sold. I tried to return but as I had had it for over 30 days I was unable to return it. So I'm stuck with an item ii cannot use. Very annoying..
