ISEE Lower Level: 2500+ Practice Questions

As an ISEE coach, I spend lots of time trying to find the right materials to use with my students. I would rather spend my time with my students than develop my own materials. I found this book extremely useful and have had success with it! Yes, many of the math problems are not multiple choice. However, I think that is actually MORE helpful because it helps my students actually learn the math rather than simply know how to answer a multiple choice question. I use the practice tests to work on multiple choice skills. You cannot find a better book out there!

As an ISEE tutor, I buy pretty much every book on the market. My biggest gripe with this book is that it does not have "2500+" ISEE problems. The ISEE is an entirely multiple choice test, except for the essay. OVER 1,100 of the math problems in this book are NOT isee problems (and yes, I actually audited the entire book, after realizing I'd been bilked). They are general, open-ended math problems. When you start the math section, the first two pages alone account for 160 of the 2500 "isee" problems. The internet is filled with thousands of worksheets where you'll find the exact same content for free. When I got the book, I just flipped page after page and couldn't believe what I was seeing.The book also has no answer explanations. I don't really need the answer explanations, but I know most kids and parents do. But the thing that really got me was the fact that the main reason I bought this book was because of their promise of 2500 ISEE problems, when there are actually closer to half that many in the book. Very disappointing.

Great book! Tons of practice problems and I like the organization. For the math section, the book includes fundamental problems for kids who need a little more review and multiple choice problems for kids to practice test taking strategies. There are also 3 practice test which is more than most books!

This is a great prep book for the ISEE. The practice questions are challenging and prepare students for the actual test. Excited to use it with my tutees.

AMAZING book for students preparing for the lower level ISEE. So many more practice questions than other books and three full-length practice tests. Definitely trust this book!

The reading passages and vocab questions are of good quality. The math questions might be too easy compared to the real test.
