Is the braun bc09 digital travel clock radio controlled?

No but it keeps great time once set. I recommend it. FYI I had a different radio controlled alarm before this one and it got times and dates mixed up sometimes. It was inconvenient to be woken in the middle of the night due to a radio controlled time error. It is better to be in control of setting the time in my opinion.

How long does the alarm ring for before switching off?

The alarm will sound for maximum of 3 minutes.

Is the LCD always illuminated and visible in the dark without needing to press a button
