I got this for my ryzen 7 5700X. It came with a fairly current bios so I didn't have to update which was nice. There is a newer one out there but I'm not worried about updating it because everything works. This is a great motherboard for the price, lots of features, it has 4 ram slots which is very nice, it can handle rgb if you want it, and the board with 32gb of 3200 ddr4 ram is very quick. combined with a 3060 12gb gpu and its my main gaming rig. I liked the board enough that I got a second one for another project. Also it sounds like AMD is going to be releasing some new AM4 cpus so I would expect this bord to support them with a bios update. So we'll see if the future of AM4 is going to live on for a bit yet. I really like this motherboard, there isn't much it can't do. Even the wifi is nice and fast.

Good board choice at a good value.Pros: 1) Heat sinks are large and well made 2) Diagnostic Led's provide helpful clues as to things that go wrong during startup in our case a reused Video card gone bad. 3) All software drivers easily downloaded and detected (we inserted audio jack and it prompted web download) 4) A ton of Youtube videos describing different scenarios 5) Indications on reviews are that the board has good reliability.Cons:1) The positioning of the USB 3 and SATA connectors was not thought out well. For a smaller case you really need to plug these in before installing the board into the case unless your a contortionist . A vertical pcb header would have been a better choice2) As some noted few PCI slots limited. 3) Back panel plate is a bit ill fitting for connector shells.4) Wifi antennas supplied are a bit loose fitting when installed

This is starting to be my go to for B550m motherboards. Easy set up. Easy install. Works great with Ryzen 5 5600gt or ryzen 5 5500. Wifi and bluetooth works great. I didn't have to worry about them not posting. Boot speed seems pretty fast. Works great for gaming. USB ports work as well.

Nice motherboard. Was updating from legacy Win 10 system. Installation in old case was easy. First bootup it didn't see either of my two 16G memory sticks even though they were in the correct A2 and B2 slots. Moved them to A1 and B1. Then saw only one stick and gave warning that they weren't in the correct slots. Moved back to A2 and B2 and it saw them as it should. Then enabled legacy Windows in BIOS, Windows 10 opened fine. Then converted hard drive from MBR to GPT using command prompt. Good to go! One more thing. MSI tells me that the built in wifi only works with Win 11.

So first thing this works with a 5900X. I built a custom PC for my step daughter and I know the 5900X runs hot which even at idle it ran kind of hot. We ended up flashing the BIOS and had a second pasting of Grizzly which now it stays pretty cool. The wifi and bluetooth works great besides 5900X running hot at idle it was stable and now is runs at normal temp and is stable. It is not OC and has a 240 AIO. One area that I was disappointed with was the IO shield I had to install myself which usually is not an issue but this one was just not lining up perfectly. When I bought my 650 Tomahawk WiFi I didn't have to. Plus the quality of this is noticeable less versus others. Not saying this is a bad board by no means. It is a good budget board for an AM4 CPU.
