18AWG Bare Tinned Copper Bus Wire - 1/4 Pound Roll

This is the second time I've ordered the product but first time from this vendor - the product was very dull, not great for craft purposes. Previous product was shiny and had a much more attractive appearance.

I purchased this item off another site, but the label on the roll is identical: Guasti Wire, Buss Wire, 50ft, 1/4 LB, BW18-1/4, 18 Ga Strnd, 2318. I would say this product somehow got incorrectly labeled and packaged at the manufacturer. I tested it two ways: resistance and thermally. I measure about 2 ohms for a 10-ft length; whereas for copper that should measure about 0.06 ohm. Since the resistivity of 304 stainless is about 40 times higher than copper, this is about right for stainless wire, within my measurement error. Secondly I held one end of the wire in a gas flame, getting it to orange heat, while continuously holding it in my bare fingers about 3 inches away from the orange portion. Could barely feel any warmth in the wire! If this were copper you could not do that, as it would get extremely hot even six inches from the flame.
