I like this pad a lot for backpacking. I've taken it on 3 week long backpacking trips and a dozen or so weekend trips. Pros: - very cost effective - very light. There is no insulation in here. - the "static V" shape really does help with comfort. - durability, as I mentioned, this pad has held up much longer than I expected. I've been on about 12-15 trips with this pad and had no leaks. I'm pretty careful not to let any rocks or sticks in the tent when rolling it up. - space: I used to have a foam accordian sleeping pad. This pad is definitely much more compact in the pack and can be stored internally. Cons: - comfort, it isn't as comfortable as I would like. I am a 190lbs and I can't really side sleep with this pad. Plan on stomach or back sleeping if you are over 160lbs or so. - not too much else, pretty good pad especially for backpacking.

I purchased my first KLYMIT sleeping pad from another place, but I had to get one for my mom. I gave it to her as a gift because she likes to camp. She was raving about it. I rave about it. I can sleep comfortably on my side practically anywhere with this pad. Sometimes I pack a pillow, and sometimes I don’t. It inflates with about 20 breaths, so it does take a little while, but it’s worth the comfort you get out of it. The first time or so that I used it, I needed to inflate it a little bit more partway through the night, but this is just an adjustment period. After it’s broken in, then it will last through the whole night without any issues. For $40 or whatever it costs now, and with their warranty, it’s worth it. I have tried more expensive mats that cost more, and this one is still my favorite. The mattress even comes with a repair kit built into the stuff sack. Even though it has never been punctured, even with some abuse, I have peace of mind that the repair kit is there.

It just arrived. I blew it up with about 20 breaths and it seems pretty good so far. Comfy on the back lawn for a one minute test. It’s actually smaller and lighter weight than I thought when it’s all compressed and rolled up. Takes a little bit of time and effort to get it deflated and repacked, as well as inflated but hopefully the pluses outweigh the minuses.

I've slept on this dozens of times and though I'm not a back sleeper, it's the only way I can comfortably sleep on it to displace my weight. Stomach works for a while but I always wake up and adjust. Side sleepers will feel the ground. It has not leaked at all, despite my 7 year old jumping on it when I turned my back. It's part of my 72 hour kit for visiting relatives, road trips, or unexpected hospital stays. I bought a USMC surplus foam roll to put beneath it to help and cut it down. Coleman's military surplus is great and has fast shipping. The older I get, the more I feel an uncomfortable sleep. It packs nicely, the valve has held up, and it does its job for my intended purpose. I really can't complain or fault it. I'm not a backpacker so I can't comment on weight and all of that. For the average person who needs an improvised sleep area, it's a great deal and packs small. By the way, I'm 5'11" and weigh 180lbs if that puts anything in perspective, and being an avid runner I don't mind using my lungs to inflate it.

Works really well, it’s lightweight and compact. Not very difficult to inflate, but also doesn’t get quite full. However this isn’t an issue when laying down as your weight is distributed and you’re still off the ground.

I tried two of these, having been recommended to use this brand, but both developed leaks. One lasted for several uses until it developed a serious leak on the seams. It was a hot day and apparently the seam came apart. The next one popped on the first use but with a slow seam leak that only needed topping off once or twice during the night. I would suggest buying a better pad if you are serious into camping. The comfort was great until it went flat. I am thankful there was a backup foam pad around that I could make use of those nights.

I had two of them by now and I liked them both I didn’t have a problem on them losing air I’m a side sleeper so on occasions I can feel the ground but it doesn’t bother me Most other mattress aren’t meant for size sleepers anyways For someone getting started in camping/backpacking it’s a great mattress for the weight and price

Great experience with this product. It is pretty easy to inflate (by mouth), comfortable to sleep on, easy to pack up back into the original bag, small (about the size of a nalgene style water bottle) when rolled up, and light weight. It is a bit on the noisy side to move around on. I haven't found that to be a major issue, but worth noting. I have used this primarily for sleeping on hard floors, including a pretty comfortable night on the floor of the airport.

Sensational item. Quick to inflate. Great flexibility to suit odd locations or for slinging in a hammock. Insulate the back well. good as side sleeper, back or front. Very compact and easy to transport/carry as its incredibly light. Buy the sheet too, it adds luxury for a tiny bit of weight.

Auf meinen Trekkingreisen bin ich immer öfter über diese Klymit-matte gestolpert. Wird auch im Internet ziemlich gehyped. Eigentlich brauchte ich nicht unbedingt noch Eine aufblasbare Isomatte,aber dann kam dieses Angebot und ich dachte ,für 50 Euro kann man sie schon mal austesten.Vor allem der Schlafkomfort für Seitenschläfer wurde bei dieser Matte immer wieder gepriesen. Nunja fangen wir erst mal beim Gewicht an. Meine Matte mit Packsack wiegt 560gr. 50gr mehr als angepriesen,aber für mich schon noch ok. Das erste mal ausgepackt kommt vielleicht ihr grösstes Plus. Zumindest von der Haptik her fühlt sich das Material doch recht robust und widerstandsfähig an. Ausser meiner Unigear xl kommt da keine meiner Aufblasmatten dran. Dann das Ventil. Erinnerte mich ein wenig an das meiner selbstaufblasenden Thermarest prolite plus. Nur bei der Thermarest hilft halt der Innenschaumstoff mit,das man nicht so viel blasen muss . Also gleich die Klymit mal.aufgeblasen. Und. Es dauert bei mir deutlich,deutlich länger und mehr Atemzüge ,als meine anderen Aufblasmatten. Am Anfang geht es auch noch,wenn sie noch leer ist. Es dauert halt ewige bis man spürt bis sich diese Isomatte fühlt. Dann aber wird es mit diesem Ventil erst richtig schlimm,wenn man sie mit dem Mund aufblasen will. Denn sobald etwas Füllung in der Matte ist,entströmt bei jedem Luftholen in der Zwischenzeit wieder Luft aus der Matte. Das ist unglaublich nervig und zeitraubend und man benötigt dadurch deutlich mehr Atemzüge als bei Matten mit anderen Ventilen . Schlimm. 10 Züge für die Füllung? Na dann viel Spass.ich brauchte im Schnitt 5-7 Atemzüge mehr als bei meiner 190x60 grossen Unigear,bei der ich etwa 15 Atemzüge benötige . Na gut,wenn der Liegekomfort passt,dachte ich,dann kann man das in Kauf nehmen. Aber dem ist für mich leider nicht so. Nach nun etwa 15 Nächten mit unterschiedlichen Versuchen,die Matte mal stärker,mal.etwas schwächer aufzublasen kann ich sagen. Die Klymit ist für mich die unbequemste aller meiner reinen Aufblasmatten. Für mich fühlt sich die Mitte am Rücken,da.wo diese V zur Spitze laufen,also genau da,wo die Wirbelsäule verläuft deutlich höher an, als zum Rand hinaus ,da fällt sie dann ab. Mit der Folge. Man hat das Gefühl man liegt nur mittig auf,dreht man sich dann leicht nach links oder rechts,hat man das Gefühl,mam rollt nen Abhang runter. Noch schlimmer und deutlicher zu spüren,wenn mam seitlich liegen will,dann dreht man sich automatisch immer mehr mit dem Gesicht richtung Boden. Seitenhalt ist da für mich in keiner Position zu spüren. Man fällt oder rollt zwar nicht von der Matte. Aber egal in welcher Liegeposition,man muss immer gegen korrigieren ,das man nicht auf eine Seite rollt. Also wirklich,ich kann den Hype um diese Matte nicht verstehen und bin ziemlich enttäuscht. Vielleicht habe ich auch ein Fehlprodukt erwischt,aber ich kann eigentlich keine Verarbeitungsmängel feststellen. Zudem verliert die Klymit über Nacht auch immer etwas Luft. IHR Plus ist. Sie wirkt wertig und sauber verarbeitet,das ist jedenfalls kein reiner Schund. Sie könnte schon eine lamge Lebensdauer haben. Aber beim Liegekomfort ist sie für mich halt unbequemer,als.selbst meine Billigmatte vom Lidl. Einen Vorteil hat das Ventil dann noch. Wenn man auf ihr liegt,kann man bei diesem Schraubventil besser die Härte der Matte durch Luft ablassen regulieren,als es bei Matten mit untenliegenden Stöpseln ist. Aber trotz dieser Hilfe gelang es mir jedenfalls nicht,auf dieser Matte eine komfortablere Nacht zu verbringen,als auf anderen Matten. Ich bin froh,diese Matte für nur 50 Euro gekauft zu haben. Für diesen Preis kann man sie durchaus austesten. Denn langlebiger erscheint sie mir. Aber ich würde sie keinesfalls für 80 Euro oder mehr empfehlen. Da gibt es dann deutlich bessere Matten. Schade eigentlich,aber Gott sei Dank nur 50 Euro bezahlt. Bei dem Preis kann man sie schon als Reservematte behalten,zumal ich das Ding nicht wieder in die USA schicken will.
