Simple, high-quality mouse
This the third Roccat mouse I own. I also have a Kone Pure Optical, and a refurbished Kova. I bought the Lua for my work PC because I wanted something that was precise and well made, but without the frills, and the Lua is just that. I'm happy to say that the Lua is closer to the newer generation Roccat mice (i.e., the Kone) than the older ones (the Kova), because the Kova is kinda s***ty.The mouse tracks fine (I think it defaults to 800dpi), and doesn't appear to have built-in acceleration, positive or negative, which is good. It doesn't track quite as precisely as the Kone Pure Optical, but it's barely noticeable - only when you're literally trying to click pixels. The switches for the 3 mouse buttons appear to be very similar to the ones on the Kone, and feel very high quality, but the scroll-wheel seems to be 2nd grade - it works perfectly fine, but it's a little noisier. The buttons and scroll wheel both feel better than the Kova, which just seems poorly manufactured in comparison. The finish on the top of the mouse is matte and very pleasant. The sides are made of hard plastic, and feel a little cheap, but well crafted. What I mean is that the plastic looks like's well molded/cut. It feels perfectly fine and serviceable. The mouse feet are the same shape as the Kone, but appear to be made of a different material. However, they seem slippery enough, and the difference is small - I'm not sure I'd be able to tell in a blind test.I have yet to install the drivers for the mouse, but if they're anything like the drivers for the Kone or the Kova, they should be well put together. In summary, if you're looking for something that is relatively cheap and well made, rather than cheap and with 1000 leds and 100,000 dpi, I recommend the Lua. Would I use it for gaming over the Kone? Probably not. But I would probably be pretty happy if I didn't have that choice.

Solid, simple, durable mouse for gaming
Apparently I've owned this mouse (and I can't believe I'm writing this) for FIVE (5) years. This mouse has been tested and true, accurate, responsive, and durable. Mice are like cars, every one is different and different people have different desires. It's basic, but that's all I want in a mouse. I game almost daily and it's never let me down. It's light, fits into my (relatively) small hands just perfectly. It doesn't have any side buttons for me to accidentally click. It's no Logitech MX-Master series mouse, but for $20, it's one of the cheapest and longest lasting components of my computer build. You may ask, why am I writing this now? Well, after 5 years I've noticed the scroll wheel starting to misbehave. It seems to sporadically scroll opposite of the way I'm actually scrolling. If I'm playing a shooter, it's kind of frustrating to not be able to use the scroll to change weapons on the fly. And browsing websites is becoming a pain. Maybe the sensor needs a cleaning, but I was thinking maybe it's time for a new mouse.Either way, I'd absolutely buy this mouse again and again. Maybe not when it's $30-$40, since you can get a good Logitech for that price. But for around $20, it's the best you can spend in terms of longevity and function.

VERY GOOD - BUT - VERY SMALL
VERY GOOD - BUT VERY SMALL MOUSEIt is an excellent mouse - excellent quality, great sensor and great BUTTONS - OMRON SWITCHES I believe.the buttons feel good and fast and precise. BUT - the mouse itself is super small. You will have to get used to that.. OR you will have to modify it.I am thinking of modifying it.I will buy some hard foam and glue it to the top and sides to increase the size of the mouse more >>>> to make it more of a PALM GRIP Style Mouse -- Right now it is more of a FINGERTIP GRIP Mouse. I found out I like PALM and I like resting my hand on the mouse ... and it is very tiring to do that on this mouse - since it is so small. The styling and quality are all great. The light on it is tasteful - not ridiculously over the top.The MOUSE WHEEL is fantastic - - Very solid - moves only one click at a time.NOT FOR FAST SCROLLING -- MORE FOR ONE TIME PRECISE SCROLLING.If you want super fast wheel scroolling you may need:1. a Logitech mouse2. Kensington Trackball3. a dedicated scroll wheel USB accessory that you can buy - it looks like a VOLUME KNOB that you connect to the PC and you can program it to do whatever you need when you twist and turn it - raise and lower volume or scroll pages, rewind/fast forward , etc - you get it..Final word -Good mouse >> but be ready to modify it if you have normal to big hands and you like PALM GRIP Mice.

Great Mouse!
If you want something decent, and not too fancy for gaming, I'd suggest getting this mouse. The price is pretty economical for a pretty good gaming mouse compared to others out there. It feels very comfortable and very ergonomic (the symmetry of the mouse makes it work flawlessly with either left or right handed users). Another awesome feature about it, is that you don't sweat while using it and it remains grime free, unlike those other mice with the smooth, shiny plastic material (yuck). Had to constantly keep cleaning my standard ol' Logitech mouse that was like that. Also, the DPI button comes in handy for switching sensitivity levels on the fly, no more messing around with the settings. Mouse is also lightweight overall, and feels pretty rigid, like a well built mouse it is.
