I needed this particular type of cable in order to connect my 4 year old laptop to my brand new docking station. The docking station has a USB-C male connector; and my laptop has two different connectors: one is a USB-A and the other one is a HDMI female. I was told more than once that the connector that I needed was a very unusual connector and that it was going to be extremely hard to find...and then the pandemic struck and stopped any possibility of going anywhere to find one. I did an internet search and found this connector...and it was precisely what I was looking for. Though I have not yet had opportunity to test it, it is exactly what I was looking for, and I am happy with it.

What made this device compelling is that, in theory, it would allow me to use the USB-C cables I already have with me when traveling to connect my iPad to an HDMI port on a hotel TV. That is the promise of this device. Unfortunately, the reality is quite different. When I plugged it into an HDMI port for the first time, the metal sleeve (which is barely glued in place) slid off, revealing the guts of the device. The missing sleeve didn't necessarily prevent the adapter from working but...no, the adapter didn't work at all. What I found when using the adapter to connect my iPad Pro to two different 4K televisions as well as a lower resolution computer monitor is that it just didn't work. In the iOS Settings app, I could see the adapter appear and disappear over and over. It never connected long enough to get a picture on my television screen. It wasn't the cable. I tried two different high end USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 cables from reliable vendors as well as a certified Thunderbolt 4 cable. Bottom line: This device is a poorly made piece of garbage. Thanks for wasting my time, Elebase.

I’m sure this is great for those that can use it. I was trying to connect a docking station (usb-c) to my laptop (hdmi). Huge mistake on my part for not reading all the disclaimers prior to purchasing. THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT SUPPORT VIDEO OUTPUT FROM HDMI PORT TO AN EXTERNAL DISPLAY.........

We have an older Sony tv and have some movies on a usb drive that we wanted to watch. We found out the tv didn’t have any USB ports so I went on trusty amazon and found a hdmi to usb c adapter. The package came on time and worked perfectly. This also works for the new MacBook Pro for mirroring on to another display. I’ll order this again when I lose this one.

I have been using this product for about a week. The product is absolutely stunning and reliable. The price is reasonable too. Highly recommended it! FYI: the cable is only between USB-C and HDMI, check before you order :-)

Why I'm order this item- I have a urgent use situation of this converter and this product is expensive yet i bought it only because of the quality expectation- the same item available in market less than this price, which has caused me a lot of trouble.
