I used this to build a lithium battery for my bike.
Disclaimer: I live in a place where one cannot buy anything lifepo4 (or lithium-ion) related, so I had to do with used lithium-ion cells. Yes, I know.I had a lot of old laptop batteries, from which some lithium cells could be reused. My bike, a Yamaha XTZ250Z Tenere needed a new battery after only a year (bad quality batteries here) so I gathered a total of 18 carefully tested lithium cells to make a pack of 3S 6P.My only worry was the BMS, as cranking would need a huge amount of amps. After searching on Amazon, this BMS was about the only one that specified 100 Amps. I bought two. After assembly I tested the pack in my bike, well it actually does start en the BMS does not even get hot.I tested it with all lights on, measuring the voltage while starting the bike. Voltage went briefly to 8 volts and came right back to 12.5 volt.I tested this cycle the whole night and could not detect any issue with the BMS or the lithium cells. This BMS should control the charging voltage, from what I could see the pack charges just fine.It even has the possibility to connect a NTC, for temperature protection. It's a lot of work to assemble the battery pack and considering the materials used it doesn't save me a huge amount of money. But knowing that I gave a couple of old laptop batteries a new purpose does make it worth while. And I certainly hope that this lithium pack lasts me longer than the lead acid batteries. So, yes this BMS does work and although I myself could not verify the 100A draw as the manufacturer claims, considering the fact that my bike starter motor draws about 90A, I do recommend this BMS.
