EXACTLY what I was looking for!
I have already owned a pair of Etymotic ETY earplugs, and while I haven't used them often... they are comfortable for long-periods of time and are fantastic for loud events/concerts when I need them. I travel with them, always in my carry on backpack.Recently, I've become a motorcycle rider, and picked up a used Honda CB300F. While this is not a big bike by any means, the yahoo who owned it before my removed the stock exhaust and put on what essentially is decorative header exhaust tip... and the bike is LOUD. Like, REALLY LOUD. Great for drivers around to know I'm there, but the "thumper" engine tone reverberates through my helmet like nothing I've experienced... lol. I fought with the standard foam earplugs to make riding enjoyable, and my ears would ache after 15 minutes or so, so I came back to Amazon to do my search. Low and behold, Etymotic made a set for motorsports... and damn do they work GREAT!Everything outside my helmet is still audible, and I can still hear cars in my general vicinity, and instead of my exhaust being turned up to 11, it's now about a 3.. and still sounds great! I can still have a conversation with somebody with them on.I'm using the standard 3-flange eartips, which fit me perfect. In retrospect, I could have ordered the ER20XS version (same model with one size of eartip, the size I'm using). The little 'tabs' that allow easy removal of the earplugs are great, however they sometimes caught when putting on or taking off my helmet, dislodging or slightly pulling out the eartip. So, I removed those and attached the neck cord, and I've found functional bliss. Don't even notice them in when using, no pressure from the helmet pushing them in... just fantastic! Now, the included case is attached to my motorcycle keys, and are always ready to go when I am!ABSOLUTELY recommend. You'd be a fool not to have ear protection on a bike, and this product is functionally accessible and works incredible well. Cheers!

Cuts noise without muffling it, improve bass freqs
This is probably the best $25 spent on my motorcycle gear. The plugs fits my ears perfectly, and works way better than the 3M foam plugs I was using before. First, etymotics are way easier to insert, and the sound is much better: not muffled, just quieter.I have also noticed that these plugs help to improve bass when listening to some music (which is usually lacking as it's hard to make helmet speakers that have good contact with listener's ears without inducing discomfort). I am not sure why this happens, as their attenuation vs frequency graph is more or less flat. My non-scientific guess is plugs, being protruded from my ears, act as some kind of acoustical conductor between speakers and ears, virtually making speakers closer to my ears.Downside: that piece of very thin string connecting the plugs so you can leave them on your neck is not very good. I mean, it is strong enough that won't sever, but it keeps making knots on its own, and it tends to slip on one side so I'm afraid to lose it one day. If it could be thicker and had some anti-slip resin-like coating it would work much better for me. Guess I can just use something else.

CRAP - WASTE OF MONEY - ZERO STARS
Don’t waste your money on these they are crap. Missing the advertised extra tips, came only with large, they do not fit right, they are hard and uncomfortable inside the ear and don’t block sounds as much as others. Bottom line, total crap.

Not super comfortable for an all day ride
I have a variety of disposable and non-disposable ear plugs covering a range of comfort and noise reduction. These are rank lowest on noise reduction which makes hearing my motorcycle engine nice, but is not the best for reducing wind noise. No earplugs are perfectly comfortable for all day wear and these rank in the middle of the lot. My custom made earplugs are probable the best, but leave the Etymotic membrane widget too far out and vulnerable to being knocked loose when I put on or take off my helmet. These work very well in that regard, but a custom fit set would be more comfortable.

They do reduce higher pitched sound better than they do bass
This "motorsports" kit is the same as their multi-fit kit which I couldn't find on amazon at the time of purchase. Brought to an EDM music festival. The comfort level was as well as could be expected, although they took some adjustment to sit properly in my ear. strangely enough, even though I have small ear canals (most earbuds don't fit comfortably) I ended up using the larger white ends. They do reduce higher pitched sound better than they do bass, but the quality was fine. At the end of two days I had no ringing and no noticeable loss of hearing. I would recommend using the supplied string to keep from losing them, the tab does not provide a great grip for taking them in and out on the move. It was cheap insurance, very reusable so I don't think you can beat it for the price.

Not the best for small ears or tight helmets.
2 stars because the sound quality was great, but the ends of the plugs were too large and caused them to catch and pull out when putting on or removing my helmet. I had removed the tabs too and still had issues. I lost one of the plugs after just a few days when it fell in the grass after catching on my helmet. The ends also rubbed on the inside of of the helmet causing discomfort while riding. The silicone flanges were also cut/molded very sharply and felt like they were scratching my ear canals. It might just be a new tooling and they will smooth out over time. The foam tips were too large for me. I used to use ER20s with my band and don't remember that being an issue, I based my expectations for these on that prior use where I was very satisfied.

Poor quality control, but effective product
I bought three sets of these and all three were different. Two came with one set each of the tips. One was regular, one was large, the third pair came with all three as advertised. I had given one pair to a friend and he didn’t want to bothers with returning a small item even though his pair was the large and useless. I actually like the product and wear them under street bike and dirt bike helmets. They go in the ear far enough to not get knocked out. I can’t wear the foam or most ear plugs as they just don’t fit deep enough, but these work good. I would give them 5 stars if they had been delivered with advertised options, but 2 out of 3 wrong is tough to get past.

Nothing short of miraculous. Still can't quite believe how good they are.
Bought these on recommendation from an owners club. I have an old Mk1 MX5 convertible which is not the last word in sound-proofing. Love driving it around, but the road noise, exhaust and wind can be wearing on a long drive (roof up or down).Stick these things in your ears and huge chunks of that noise are simply gone. It's quite hard to describe, as you can still hear everything you need to hear for situational awareness. It's like a filter, all the dross is removed, leaving you with the essentials. I can listen to the stereo at moderate volumes at motorway speeds with the roof down... it's almost bizarre.Better still, all the little creaks and rattles that are part of old convertible ownership also disappear at the same time, leaving you just to enjoy the car. You can still hear the induction/exhaust notes as before. The standard plugs fitted my ears fine and are comfortable. Can't recommend highly enough.

Fantastic at the Track for F1 & WEC
Perfect for in the stands and able to answer questions with the plugs still in!

Impressive
Wow, these things block out all the noise you need for motorcycling. Much better than anything else I've tried (including my old custom fit earplugs) as other products seem too big for me or just don't stay in my ears, coming loose after a short time. Not the most comfortable after a while though as the hard elements are pressed against the ear but maybe I'll adapt to that to some degree.

Fit is bad
I use a lot of various earplugs and find most of them comfortable (e.g. no noise Motorsport are my favorites). These ones just try to burst your eardrum with the default rubber pieces installed- they just go too deep.
