The only one of it's kind! Love it despite shortcomings.
Whenever I want to buy a new product for my business, I spend way too much time researching reviews to make sure I have the best item. For VEYEM, this is literally the only product of it's kind that I could find and the concept is amazing in so many ways. What I like about VEYEM is that I literally see that they have straight-away implemented fixes to some of the comments on this page. The area where I leave my laptop now has the rubberized pieces to hold my laptop in place, which another user stated VEYEM sent to them. That is a huge plus for this company and I will support them.I started using it last night and it reduces strain in my neck from side monitor setups and the fact that I can program in a more upright fashion with my main screen being higher. Made coding a lot more comfortable when you have to stare at a screen for multiple hours a day.Sadly, there are a few shortcomings mentioned here. None which would stop me from rebuying the item in the future. Someone else mentioned that there should be some sort of rubber spacer on the bottom of the unit not to have it slide around on the desk. I agree. If they just had the same spacers in the laptop area on the bottom as well, that would be a great safety feature. And someone had mentioned velcro for the top monitor channel. I actually didn't have any velcro in my box so I can't really comment on it. But if the channel had some sort of rubberized portion to the bottom, I think that would work just as well.Overall, the item seems completely made of plastic, I like it because it is light, but I am a bit concerned about the longevity of the screw portion keeping strong when you travel a lot. For the time being it seems fine. The item is a bit bulky and does not fit in my laptop backpack, so I am currently carrying it in the original box. If there were a handle for that box, that would be awesome because it would double as a case.No matter what, I really like this item for what it does and I have no issues recommending it.

Does what I bought it for...
This was purchased for use with an Asus USB monitor. It does what it purports to do, albeit a very expensive solution for a simple, non-technical item. It seems to be made of a very durable plastic which should hold up very well when traveling. And it has been made to be fairly portable due to its tri-fold design. While it works for its intended purpose, there are some design flaws (which could have been overlooked except for the expensive price).First, it slides all over the desk because it has no rubber grip on the bottom.Second, the base of the stand that the laptop sits on covers the fan intake vent that pulls in air causing the laptop to overheat and the fan to be screaming. The base is not wide enough for the feet on the laptop to keep it elevated above the base for proper airflow. I was going to purchase rubber feet myself to solve this issue (although I shouldn't have to), but read on.Third, the laptop slides around on the top of the base. However, a week after receiving this item, I received in the mail some stick-on rubber feet for the top of the base to keep the laptop in place (this solved the overheating issue somewhat). But the stand itself still slides around the desk. I was going to purchase some rubber feet for the bottom of the stand, but the fourth design flaw negates that.Fourth, the base that the laptop sits on is so thick (and now even thicker with the rubber feet) that I lost the ergonomics of my arms being parallel to the keyboard. For this reason, I could not add rubber feet to the bottom to keep the stand from sliding on the desk. And Fifth, the slat that the USB monitor sits on does not move up or down to adjust to the height of the laptop screen. I use this with 2 different laptops, 15.6 & 11.3. It's fine for the 15.6 (but could still come down an inch), but too high for the 11.3.All in all, I like it. But for the price, all of these issues shouldn't exist through proper R&D and engineering. It seems to me that we are their guinea pigs. I shouldn't have to be re-engineering and making mods. But, it seems to be the only option out there. If they can solve the issues outlined here, this would definitely be a 5 star product. And they should be paying me for my R&D and re-engineering.

Useful
I was a bit dubious but it works as advertised using a laptop and a USB monitor. When not in use it folds up but because it is sturdy it is not small folded. You could put other things on the top. Seems the right height for a copy stand for example.

Perfect for travel and working in small spaces with a 2nd monitor
I use this with my AOC e1659Fwux- Pro 16-Inch Portable LED Monitor. It makes working with 2 screens a breeze if you don't have a lot of table space to spare.Pros: Surprisingly sturdy for a plastic stand, lightweight, portable, eases tension on your neck.Cons: Would be nice if it had an adjustable top clamp to support the monitor more securely, but not really a big deal. Bottom of the stand is slippery with no rubber pads on it, so it can slide around and scratch your table if you jostle it too much.Overall, I'm satisfied with this product and the price point and would recommend it to others.
