So Far So Good
It took less than an hour to assemble the sprayer. It was missing one hardware bag but a phone call to Chapin fixed that. For storage I take the spray bar off and secure it on top of the tank. I substituted wing nuts to make this easier. It would be much better if the spray bar was hinged both for storage and in case of getting too close to an obstruction. My only other complaint is lack of organization for all of the hoses. My solution is short bungee cords but for the price they could have thought this through and provided for it. So far I have used it for weed control, bug control, fertilizer, liquid lime and for watering the lawn.

Out of box missing major parts but made right.
Update ups driver came back with the spray boom and Chapin made it right by sending me out a new tank cap. So far it has worked very well. I'm running the doser on the lighter side while I am learning to use it. And lawn is showing I'm running light chemical and test results are backing it up. I am confident that the doser is accurately dosing correct ounces per gallon. It's like having a mini pro ag sprayer.

Poor quality, terrible support
I purchased a Chapin model 97761 tow-behind sprayer from Amazon. It was delivered on Aug. 23, and I assembled it with no problems. The unit worked OK for approximately 10 minutes, and then the pump failed. I verified that the fuse was not blown, and 12 volts was being supplied to the pump motor. I did not dismantle the pump.On Monday July 27 at 8:45 AM PDT, I called Chapin’s 800 number. The hold music was very loud and annoying, forcing me to hold the phone at arm’s length. The recorded message said that my estimated wait time was 20 minutes. I waited on hold for approximately 10 minutes, and when the recording said that my wait time was still 20 minutes I left a voicemail. As of this time no one has contacted me.I called back at 1:39 PM the same day, and tried customer service. Erica answered after 10 minutes, and transferred me to product support. At 2:02 PM PDT I was disconnected. The next morning I contacted Chapin through their Facebook page. I was asked for my phone number, which I provided, and told that I would be contacted. As of 3 days later, there has been no call.Giving up on Chapin, I initiated a return through Amazon. I disassembled the sprayer, boxed it up, and UPS picked it up the next day. It was not only a waste of my time and effort, but leaves me without a sprayer at a time when I really need it.Amazon and UPS gave excellent service throughout this ordeal. Chapin was a total loss.Guess what brand I won’t be buying?

Good sprayer for large areas
I use this sprayer for weed and feed of 5 acres of pasture grass. Also has a spray wand for spot spraying. Does a good job. You need to take some time to adjust it because it uses the mix on exit method but you don't have to clean the tank out every time you change chemicals. Great product.

Superior Product with One Flaw
Simply an outstanding product. It does have one major flaw. The the top bar of the attaching fork to the vehicle, bent upwards after the first use. The thin attaching metal cannot with stand the weight of the 25 gallons of water in the tank.

No Pump
I made a grave mistake and stored away the box with the sprayer. When I got it out a year later to assemble it and use it, the there was no wheeled cart to go with it (don't go by the picture, go by the description) and there was no pump in the box. I am going to end up buying the cart and the pump separate!… a year and a half later… Chaplin sent me all the missing parts and I have a fully working and fully functional sprayer at no extra cost.

Great concept but has some drawbacks
Mixes on exit solves the problem of having a big tank to clean after each usage. Putting together the unit took some time. There are three sets of instructions, one for the trailer, one for the sprayer and one for the boom. No overall instructions. For the most part the instructions were fairly clear with some exceptions. There is no orientation for the tank attached to the frame. Easy to miss this and you won't notice until you try to attach the boom bracket. I had no problem with the other parts. There is an adjustment for the hitch height. I powered up my unit with water in the tank and the chemical tank and promptly found some hoses that needed tightening. One green nozzle had a bend and wasn't spraying properly. I haven't received a replacement yet.Using the unit offers some complexities and I found the manuals of little use. There are two sets of nozzles with no explanation on the use case for each. There are no examples on how you might achieve the proper application rates for a specific solution. There are no examples on how you might need to dilute something in the chemical tank to achieve the proper application rate. There are no examples on the recommended speed. For example, one fertilizer recommended to spread at 2-4 OZ at a minimum of 2 gallons of water every 1000 SQ feet. I think some examples would help.As another stated, the hitch will bend if you have a full 25 gallons of water going down a hill. I have the hitch adjusted for a level ride but going down a small hill will put to much pressure on the thin hitch unit. There should be a hook or strap for the wand hose. Will call Chapin to discuss these issues.I do believe this unit will work but it will take some time to develop the right recipes for certain sprays and to work out a few issues with the sprayer. I may update my review after more usage.** Update 10/2 **Removing a star. Support has failed to provide the correct replacement part 3 times. As previously noted one green nozzle had a bend and wasn't spraying properly. I called Chapin support and they promptly sent a replacement. However, instead of a green nozzle they sent a new set of blue nozzles. Called support again, they apologized said they would have to send the whole assembly. This time I received a single long tube :(. Again, called support, they apologized. I gave them the part number again. And again they sent the wrong part, two mixer assemblies for some other type of sprayer.*** Update on 6/19Tires are really cheap. They show they are rated to 50 PSi. Inflated one to 50 PSI and it blew out while I was filling it. I filled the second one to 35 PSI. 5 minutes later it blew out.

Hole alignment oon the tank is way off for a complete assembly.
id gave this a three star based on my assembly of the product, I will update after use. I assembled the chassis with no trouble. I went to attached the chassis to the tank. The tank has 6 holes drilled in it along with them being threaded. You get 6 bolts with washers to attached the chassis to the frame. The only problem is that you cant align all six holes. If you put the back ones in first then the front two are out of line by 1/4 to 1/2 inch just will not fit no matter what you do. Submitted a claim in to their technical support. It has taken 3 days many calls and talking to two reps. The last one told me that the front screw shouldn't go into the tank and it should float. My question is why is the manufacturer still drilling holes for the front frame and why are you still shipping bolts for the front frame. I asked that everyone that buys this sprayer is calling on the same problem. The rep told me that only 25% of the buyers only call because everyone else knows to leave the front holes out and let the tank float on the frame. Needless to say the answerer she gave me is some what dubious. I just hope the tank stays on the chassis.
