B.P.R.D.: Plague of Frogs Volume 2

No sense in reading this if you haven't read the first one, but it's "more of the same" in the best way possible. More BPRD, more frogs, more Roger, more Liz, more Johann, more Abe. It had a little less paranormal investigating and a little more technological type science fiction. Which is fine, honestly. I loved this book. If you're reading this to find out "I liked Volume 1 but is Volume 2 garbage?" The answer is no. If you liked One, you'll like Two. Buy it now.

BPRD volume 1 set up some really incredible character development, taking place in the aftermath of Hellboy leaving the BPRD. Volume 2 capitalizes on the relationships and personal journeys that the former supporting characters of Hellboy have traveled since then. Just overall excellent stories with characters that stand shoulder to shoulder with Hellboy as far as my interest is concerned.

The book is good. Definitely.I just didn't like it being delivered with a cover damage.

The Mike Mignola Hellboy Universe is one of the best currently being offered in comics- if you like Monsters and mysteries this is definitely for you. Don't let the lack of superheroes keep you from reading comics that are great and these are.This edition collects several trade paperbacks and offers you a nice package.

Riveting continuation on the Plague of Frogs story arc, loved reading and re-reading it. Beautiful artwork and designs with an original and refreshing style.

So so so so so good.

I'm a fan of the Hellboy series, been reading up the library editions and now reading the plague of frogs books.The 2nd book is harder to find so glad I finally got it.The art is amazing, the writing also, and even a book without Hellboy with all of the "side" characters is really interesting.Why 2 stars? It got shipped fast and got it on time so all good there. But the book got shipped in a cardboard envelope without any other protection so the edges of the book got damaged. Not a big deal but still disappointed that books still get shipped like this, especially overseas.Wouldn't mind it so much but I paid fullprice for a book that looks used.Great book, hopefully for the next customer it gets shipped in more protection.
