The latch does not have the attachment point for the molded rubber insert that dampens the hood vibration. Unless you secure the rubber first it will vibrate out and be lost. It takes 1/4" rubber strip and glue or 3 M double sided tape to secure the anti vibration strip ..... It looks good ....

These are lighter than the solid steel versions, and look great. install required removing front grill on my 2013 Jeep Wrangler, but that is very easy.

They look good, but when driving the hood flutters and lifts. Finally after using for less than a year, one broke while my wife was driving on the Interstate highway. Luckily the other one didn’t break with the added stress. That would have been a disaster. As it is I have to purchase something else or go back with the Jeep originals.

Good product, took about 45 minutes to install, looks great. Would buy again.

Easy to install, looks and works great.

Installed on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited. They replace the rubber band type things that come with the Jeep. Jeep should have locking latches on their hoods as anyone can take these expensive batteries. Now for the review: were pleasantly surprised at the look and feel of these catches. They appear to be stainless. Had to drill top hole only to make the catches more easily opened. After adjustments, they work very well and keep the hood nice and tight. No instructions come with them and you do not need instructions if put on by a woman. Now, instructions are useless for most men if they are like my husband that never reads them and then we have to pay someone to redo what was done wrong because as he says "I don't need instructions."They add to the look of the vehicle. The reason for the one less star is that the keys (four of them) are somewhat small and do not know how well they will perform, but with four you have plenty of replacements.
