Leaks badly on a JP-102 (solution update)
Bought this filter for a Jupiter JP-102 and, while the water tastes fine, the connection at the bottom leaks badly. Put the old Alka Viva filter back in and no leak. Reseated the new filter a couple more times but it still leaks while the old filter is water tight. Figured out the opening at the bottom of this filter is slightly larger than spec, just enough to leak. Too bad, was a great deal otherwise.Update 7/30/2017: I planned to return the filter but on a whim installed a slightly thicker o-ring on the connection at the bottom of the filter (only 0.5mm thicker) and now it's leak free! Of course the Alka Viva filter no longer fits but I can easily switch back to the thinner o-ring if I decide to spend the big bucks for Alka Viva. So I added one more star to the rating. Nevertheless, this product was described as compatible and really should fit a stock Jupiter JP-102 without changing 0-rings. However for a Jackson and a half I can't complain too much and might even buy again if this one holds up okay.

First time using an off brand
So far so good. Seems to do the job and it installed correctly into the melody machine. Been using for a month or so and still working great w daily use.

This filter fits perfectly in my Melody. Easy to install and water tastes great.

DO NOT PURCHASE
Shortly after installation, copper plumbing added toxins to the water that were not touched by the 'compatible'. It was undetected in coffee but from a stainless bottle the water was absolutely toxic. A genuine Jupiter was installed one week later. The above compatible was useless.
