Barbie Collector Dia De Muertos Doll, 11.5-inch, Brunette, Wearing Embroidered Dress, Flower Crown & Skull Makeup with Doll Stand and Certificate of Authenticity

I have been wanting this doll since it came out. However it sold out quickly and people began selling it for over $200 for something that was only $75 originally. Hubby trued to buy it for me around Christmas time though the price was too much. Never got it but that vendor took our money. Amazon was awesome and refunded the money.I was looking on Amazon for no reason in particular and wouldn't you know it this doll pops up for uner $70 (shipping was over $20 though)! Hubby said get it now lol.Not only was this a great price it came on time! Was a little worried about it possibly being a fake....but was happy to be proved wrong. This is just as pictured and so beautiful.Im not a doll collector but this one just spoke to me. I couldn't be happier. This vendor took such care in the packaging. I was highly impressed. Very much recommended.

To start with: This doll was listed for pre-order in March for $75.00. As a long time Barbie collector I had high hopes for this doll and put my pre-order in sight unseen . I got it for 75.00. When it arrived as promised I was VERY impressed and quickly ordered a second one again for $75.00. Now its sold out everyone and the price people have on her now is through the roof! I have seen some posts confused on the list price $75 versus what she is available for. Again she was listed for $75 but she was gone so fast she is now going for triple that on the secondary market. That is what happens in the collectible world. Now for the review: Gorgeous doll! It honors the tradition of Dia de Muertos. The face screen is well done. The colors on the dress are much brighter than the still photo shows. And the BOX is fantastic! After a couple years of mediocre dolls Barbie hit it out of the park on this one!

My first Barbie purchase for 2019. The doll was shipped from Amazon in the original shipper from Mattel. The doll's box arrived in great condition. The artwork on the box is beautiful. The doll is Black Label based on Mattel's labeling system. I paid retail price for this doll, and I would recommend to wait for Mattel to restock this doll and pay $75 or less.The doll's dress is embroidered, but the part of the dress that flares out is printed (not embroidered).The doll does come with a stand. The base of the stand is hollow, but still supports the weight of the doll.I love how colorful this doll is. If you love the Day of the Dead theme and/or celebrate the holiday, I encourage you to buy this doll. She’s a wonderful addition. Different than the typical fashion doll, but very appropriate and a beautiful tribute as the “Día de Muertos” Barbie. The Barbie Designer, Javier Meabe, did an amazing job!On my particular doll, I did undo the braids and changed her hairstyle as seen in the photo I have shared.

Mattel finally provided exceptional details in the clothing and appearance of this 2019 edition doll. Big letdown experienced with follow-up 2020 doll.The only problem with this doll was its exorbitant price! Doll was supposed to be sold on Amazon at its recommended retail price of $75.00. However, demand was high and sellers were able to dictate ever increasing prices for this doll. Hope you were able to acquire one at a reasonable price.

I wanted this Barbie Dia De Muertos Doll last year when it first came out and the cost was less than $100. I was on the Mattel "notify when available list". NO matter when they let me know it was available I could not get her. She is absolutely everything I thought she would be. The inner packaging was intact & brand new. The outer packaging however was beat up, I was afraid it might have damaged the actual product, it did not. I am not at all disappointed with what I paid for her, she is absolutely worth it.

I love this Barbie collection. Each one is unique and elegant and so very beautiful in creation and design. They put so much effort into getting the little details just right. I’m very happy with my packaging and the quality of the box it comes in is as beautiful as the doll itself.

This is a collector’s doll and it is very well detailed. The “make-up” is that of a sugar skull but the dress, which is embroidered with cempazuchitl flowers and butterflies, makes the doll look more like Diego Rivera’s “catrina” (elegant death or skeleton). It is a beautiful doll that is a MUST in all callector’s display. Even the box is well designed with the color pallet appropriate for thw day of the death celebration. Very satisfied wirh my purchase.
