This little egg timer does exactly what it says it will do…every time! I kept one and gave on to a friend. She loves it!

So far I give the product itself five stars. However the instructions get three stars. This is because it does not have instructions for medium sized eggs. Should they update their instructions I will raise it to a five star since this is the only issue I've had so far.

Worked somewhat well for a year, but -- despite minimal, once-monthly use -- the outer clear plastic cracked, exposing the layers inside.

This is an updated review after I exchanged the egg for a different one. The first one I had did not accurately work but customer service was amazing and helped me exchange it for a different one- and it works perfectly. I had seen so many positive reviews on this egg and thought I had to have it. I have a gas stove and the cooking time on hard boiled eggs to be the way we all like to eat them seems to vary depending on the day, weather, whatever. It was a pain to do the guess and check method all the time, and a waste of some eggs (which the dogs loved, haha). Using the egg timer took a lot of the guess work out. We like our eggs very hard boiled so I just leave them in a couple minutes past the time the egg turns all the way colored and they are perfect every time. I also found that if I do them in smaller batches (6-8) the timer is much more accurate! I'm so happy I gave it a second try because it is super helpful, not to mention cute! I would recommend this timer to anyone who cooks hard boiled eggs, it takes the guess work out of cooking so you get perfect eggs every time no matter what style of hard boiled eggs you prefer. The customer service is wonderful, emails were always responded to within 12-24 hours and they are easy to understand. They truly want to make sure you have a positive experience.

This item works perfectly, all you do is put this in a pot of cold water, add the eggs and turn on the flame and just watch the top turn white. It has marks of how well done you want the egg and when the white hits that mark, you remove the egg and it will be either extra runny, soft boiled or hard boiled. Great item and easy to work with.

My husband and I tried this last night, and it worked like a dream! Both of us gave up make hard boiled eggs years ago because we just weren't good at getting the timing right. They were either too dry with that green ring or not done enough. When I went on the FODMAP diet as my doctor suggested, I started looking on Amazon for egg timers and found this little gem. After watching the videos, I was hooked, after reading the reviews, I chose to go with the "Pro" timers. I am disabled so I showed my husband exactly where I wanted there to be a little red left on the timer, and he took the eggs out of the water at the right time and put them in cold water. I was able to remove the shell and mix one with tuna and mayo for lunch on a bed of romaine lettuce with cherry tomatoes and aged cheddar cheese. The egg was done perfectly!! Not dry, no green ring...just a beautifully done egg. I'm glad they come in two packs so I can order another set with one gets old and breaks, I can order another set. What a genius idea! It's the simple things in life! To have hard boiled, or even soft boiled, eggs again. Amazing!!

What a great little guy to help cook hard cooked eggs to the exact time. No green or gray edges around the yolk. Beautiful eggs every time. I start with cold water and place eggs and Noble Egg Timer in the pan. Turn on the burner to medium heat. I turn the eggs gently with a slotted spoon to keep the yolk in the center. I can walk away and just check every few minutes. When the soft boil is indicated, the egg is just right for putting on toast for breakfast. Yolk is just runny enough to soak the toast, Yum! When the Eggy Timer turns all white, lift out the timer with a slotted spoon and place on a side board until cool. Store it in the drawer that is a safe place where it will not be knocked around by heavy spoons or knives. Treat this little guy well and he will give you great cooked eggs!!

I love this thing. I tend to set my eggs to cook and forget about them and then have literally zero idea how long they've been cooking. This thing saves me from under cooked eggs, and warns me when I've overcooked them, and if I actually pay attention helps me get the absolute Perfect boiled eggs. The one I got the colouring is a bit off center but that doesn't prevent it from doing its job. It took me a few tries to figure out what level is exactly what I want in an egg. I find if I take them out when there's just the slightest hint of red in the middle its fully cooked, maybe even a little over cooked by the time you douse them in the ice bath but not to the point of being green or overly dry. I've never tried but I feel like if you took them out when it was in the soft boiled area, the whites wouldn't be fully set. Overall, it works exactly the way it needs to, but the eggs are a little more done than you might expect.

At last a reliable timer , a bit pricy but does an excellent job, I like soft boiled and this timer is great
