(Black) 3/8" Stud Terminal Cover - Electrical Battery Connection Insulator (2 Pack)

I needed a boot for a 12 VDC medium amperage application. The project employed 8 gauge wire and lugs. The factory hole (#10 - 3/16" stud terminal cover) for the wire was far too small, but that was easily rectified with a razor blade. The cap covers the lug snugly (perfect for my application). The rubber is substantial, but adequately pliable. Ultimately there were exactly what was needed for my project.

I used the correct size gauge wire for that cover and it worked years later it's still on the alternator. There tough and strong and shows no sign of fatigue. Using on a high amperage alternator with an 8 gauge cable directly to the battery. It came with two and I have not had to replace the first one in a few years.Would buy again.

Easy to use and is affordable.

They we're a bit smaller than I expected, but they did the job. The delivery was actually a day before the promise date.

I love these things. I got both 5/16th and 3/8th sizes but I found that the 3/8th is the best fit on these 2 gauge cables. A little pricey, for a piece of rubber but that would be my only complaint.

These are huge; but, that's what I wanted. Easily fits over a rockwell 1/0 cable with crimped on copper lug and adhesion shrink tube. Had to lube up the cable so the boot could slide on but the lug is easily covered and looks great! Used on my circuit breakers and alternator.

I used these on the +/- sides on a new synthetic rope winch install. They fit snug over the cable, terminals, and stud/nut. I finished these off with dielectric grease packing inside the boots.
