**Q: Does this knife have a sheath or holster?**
A: No, only a snap-on semi-transparent plastic cover for the blade.

**Q: what kind of steel the blade is made of and the ease or difficulty of sharpining**
A: The blade is made of high quality knife grade stainless steel. The blade is very sharp when you get the knife and it is easily sharpened on knife stone or sharpening steel. I am very happy with the one I purchased!

**Q: What's the strip of plastic along the backside of the blade for?**
A: For thumb support as you are cutting into cable insulation.

**Q: What sheath will fit this knife?**
A: Well, it comes with its own protective cover, snaps in and good enough.
But, I am not in the trade so, not sure beyond that.
It is well-made and I even successfully sharpened it a few times.
