uniball™ 207 Gel Pens, Black Ink, 0.7mm Medium Point, Retractable, 12 Count

This one has some great concrete details, especially the paper performance and the fact that you journal every day. I’d make it feel enthusiastic but still very natural: **My favorite everyday gel pens** These are such nice everyday pens. The grip is comfortable, the ink flows smoothly without skipping, and I haven’t had issues with it bleeding through the paper. The 0.7mm point is also perfect for me because it gives a nice, medium-width line without feeling too thick. I go through a lot of pens since I journal every day, so getting a 12-pack is a fantastic value. I love having plenty on hand, and these have become my go-to pens for journaling.

I purchased these as an extra measure of security for check writing. I have read that the pigment-based formulation used in many gel pens is absorbed into the paper the check is made of making it nearly impossible to remove by "check washing". The Uniball 207 pen meets that qualification I had trouble getting the pen to start writing and once I did, it was very scratchy and intermittent. I looked closely at the pen point and noticed a crusty build up around it. (See photo) I easily removed it with a tissue and then the pen worked smoothly with no breaks. All the pens in the pack were like this, so I wonder if this is a protective coating or just a result of the production process. The pen feels ergonomic and is comfortable to hold. It is very easy to write with and puts down a quality line. I would recommend these to anyone looking for security against check fraud. At about $8 for a pack of five pens, it's a small price to pay for that peace of mind.

Ok, I usually only write reviews for products or places that I either really like, or that I really want people to be wary of. Pens usually don't qualify in either category, although, as a teacher and a full time grad student taking online courses, I do have clear preferences in pens. I am currently enrolled in a College Algebra course (part of my Secondary Math Education Masters program), and taking tons of notes because it's been 25 years since the last time I took this course! So, I need a good quality pen to take the notes. I wanted a gel pen because they typically write more smoothly, and because I wanted multiple colors to keep things more organized. I went to the office supply store, looked at a number of different pens and decided, based on its packaging claims, to give this one a try. I have used many different types of gel pens over the years, and usually have a problem smudging the ink onto the side of my pinky (I don't have perfect hand positioning when I write, which is funny when I teach cursive writing!) I have had a number of other problems with gel pens over the years. Sometimes ink is distributed unevenly. Somebody mentioned in one post about the ink not flowing evenly throughout the letters, losing ink at the top. This has happened with other pens as well. I have even been reluctant at times to let students do their final drafts of their writing in gel pen because of the mess. Not with the Uni-ball 207 pens. These pens rock! They are a joy to write with! I have some arthritis in a couple of knuckles and a little neuropathy from meds I treated with a couple of years ago. These pens are extremely comfortable to me, and I like the way the rubber grip fits well in my fingers. The ink distributes evenly. The color is bold and a strong black. And, best of all, NO SMUDGES! I ran out of ink yesterday, so I ordered these as a replacement (oh, another benefit is just how much I was able to write with one pen. I was able to fill more than 1/2 of a marble composition book with one pen). You can get the refills, but the price of these four were comparable to two refills. When I ran out, I grabbed a Pentel gel pen that was nearby. Oh NO! Smudges!! I had forgotten that that even happened because I haven't had the slightest smudge with the Uni-ball. There are a lot of valid reasons and many different uses that people have posted in these reviews. But, if you want a pen that is an outstanding value for their price and will give you satisfaction with their use, buy these!!!! You will not regret it.

Nice pens. They arrived quickly. The most of the time I write with these pens for notes, texts, greeting carts, recipes etc. I love the way they write. They are smooth and almost smudged free (quick air dry time for greeting cards). I have them in many colors and also in different sizes, such as 05 and 07. I also purchased fillers for them. The majority of the time I use the blue color. It makes it nice to take notes in different colors, especially for printed texts. I am so glad they put the color code on the top part of the pen for differentiation. But if I have two blue pens or two black pens in a drawer or desk in size 05 and 07, I have no way knowing which pen to pick, since they are identical to each other from the outside. It would be nice to have the size written on the pen.

i got these pens in april this year, and flash forward 4 months it skips a lot. in the time before, i loved the smoothness of the ink (especially as a leftie) and it had such a nice deep black to it! i wrote a lot with these pens and got great use out of them, but i will have to repurchase some more because the skipping is really affecting my writing. i would still recommend it, but as with any pen it’ll eventually run out.

Love Uniball 207 gel pens! I write lots of letters and cards. If it's raining when the mailman reaches into the mailbox, no problems. The ink does not run or blur. Before I started using Uniball 207 gel pens, family and friends told me the other gel brands easily smeared when wet. How many of my letters and cards were discarded by the post office because rain had blurred the addresses? My brother once spilled coffee on a birthday check I'd sent him. He said the bank wouldn't cash it because they couldn't read it. Yikes!

I know I will never afford a Mont Blanc or a Visconti, but I like a variety of writing instruments. These pens move beautifully across many different paper types. I am of a certain age where cursive writing was part of my schooling. With these pens I will often switch over from printing to cursive just for the sensation of the pen moving over the paper. They move wonderfully. Handheld, they are thicker than BIC crystals and are slightly nicer to hold than the Amazon basics retractible pens. If you are a low cost pen aficionado, spend a little and give yourself a writing treat.

The uni-ball 207 are the only pens I use and I was very happy to find these purple ones. They write smoothly and dries quickly.
