Perfect Fit With Great Durable Feel
These shoes feel fantastic! They are very true to size, and they fit me just perfectly. The craftsmanship and design look wonderful, and I haven't seen or experienced any issues with them so far. I ordered these as hiking boots, and possibly as winter boots, but they look so nice, I kind feel bad about possibly scuffing them up! The support around the ankle area seems adequate to me, but I immediately removed the insoles from these shoes. They're just thin pads, and although they were comfortable, they didn't provide the arch support I wanted. I had some high arch insoles that slid right in, and now I'm ready to go. I tend to overpronate, especially with my left foot, due to a prior injury, but with the insoles in these, and the added support around the ankle, these should be just great for me! Awesome quality, stylish appearance, and a great value, in my opinion!

Great alternative work boots
Great to wear as a work boot cuz it come in extra wide option if you like me you know how hard it is to find extra wide shoes or boots. The price is great the shoe fit perfect and comfortable right out the box with extra room the shoelaces are great and durable which I was surprised cuz I had other boots in the same price range that normally would use cheap laces but these actually use good quality shoelaces that hold up to a 12-hour 5-day a week warehouse job. Been wearing them ever since I got them for work and outside as a casual shoe. If your job request work boots these shoes are good alternative cuz they kind of look like they could be considered work boots. I will definitely recommend these and will be buying them again when I need another pair

Comfortable
It's VERY hard for someone as tall as me at 6'9'' to trust anyone online for clothes and especially shoes. I really prefer trying things on first just to know it's going to fit how abnormally tall I am. I took a shot at buying these in my usual size of 15 and they fit great. Very tight initially and it's going to take a while to wear-in but I think that's a good sign. For hiking I'm not too sure, as I prefer a low top shoe for that. These are above the ankle and stiff as a board so it would be awkward I would think to hike in these. At least for me. I'll update this later if it's not waterproof or acting off. For now.. Great price, Good Shoes.

Very comfortable, great for casual hikers
This boot is an excellent choice for budget conscious, casual hikers. As a large person with large wide feet I was skeptical about the low price and quality, but these were comfortable from day one. I think that is the boots best feature. All of my life I've had to break in hiking boots to some capacity, but not these. They also are quite stable, they feel more like a hybrid of a tennis sneaker and high end hiking boot, but I find I have great stability and control in them. One critique is the claim that they are waterproof is simply incorrect. The mesh tongue makes that untrue. I've walked through taller grass in the rain and they soak up water right to the socks. The other parts of the boot are at least water resistant but I do not recommend heavy rain hiking with these, especially if you're walking through brush. I also do worry about the longevity of these, the lace hooks in particular feel low quality, so if you want tie the boot very tight this could be a concern. With that said I think for a very low price you get a very comfortable casual hiking boot which is great for paved, gravel, and well travelled trails. Also great for big footed folks. I do not recommend these for heavy rain days, and you might be pushing the limits a bit with heavier brush areas. If used once a week these will go a long way, I think as a daily driver you might want to look at a higher end boot, especially if these are for work.

I went a size up.
I went a size up (to an 11 wide) to make sure these were wide enough, and they fit great. So far, they are comfortable and pretty light for this style hiking boot. They seem to be waterproof, but I’ve really tested them in light rain and wet grass. They look great. Ok a year later, these continue to be a great boot. They show almost no wear, and have been used in snow and various weather conditions and no leaking.

Runs a bit small but great boot
I wear a 15 and the 15 of this brand was way too tight so I got a 15 wide and boom, problem solved. I've been wearing these for a couple of months now and I've put them through the ringer using them for hiking, working and general walking around and I love them. They are actually waterproof, I've walked through several streams and got ankle deep in mud with them and my feet stayed perfectly dry. They are extremely comfortable too. For me I'm a huge dude so I always replace the insoles with gel comfort arch support insoles so I can't speak for the ones that come standard but the interior of the boots are nice and soft and they keep your feet nice and warm in below freezing weather. I will definitely buy another pair at some point.

Arguably the most comfortable hiking type shoe I've ever owned
Arguably the most comfortable hiking type shoe I've ever owned. In the past I've owned Keens, Merrell's and Solomon's and I like these Columbia's the best. Once I walked 10 miles with these Columbia shoes on asphalt and did not have one issue. I walk the dogs into the woods every day. They are waterproof and a great value. Size 12 fits like a size 12.

Excellent & Comfortable
Bought these specifically to trapse around the less populated parts of Scotland. They're lightweight, comfortable, and so far have proven to be rugged enough to handle whatever this elderly Scot can throw at them. Beware: the color is quite RED but that was OK with me.

Bought in 2023, noticed today in 2025 a hole developed on one shoe. The inner shielding is still intact so the hole is not completely through. But I'm still disappointed since I didn't abuse these shoes at all. And Columbia only offers a 1-year warranty on their footwear. They should go back to making things in China instead of Vietnam. I've had Chinese branded shoes last way longer (about TEN years) than these. Also a note about sizing. Their official size chart is wrong. See pic. Size 8.5 is 26.5 cm not 26. This is the problem of buying online since u can't try them on. But Amazon exchange made it easy to get the correct size.
