These are ugly and small. The pattern is so very very cheap looking because it’s printed on. They material reminds me of cheap mouse pads you get free for some promotion giveaway. They are very small. If you want to use it as a regular placemat you would need two for length, which doesn’t look good, and even then they wouldn’t be wide/tall enough. I’ll take their advertisements word on being heat resistant as they were thick.
