The package comes with 2 AAA batteries. The battery power will last for a long time. The read difference only about 0.3%-0.6%, that is, put the items on different angles and show from 4.5 to 4.48 or 4.49 grams. You will see the difference reading when you blow the items. Will order more.

bought 2 scales because i was worried about accuracy and both were spot on with my scientific weights. Great price and it worked just fine for weighing my broad heads and complete arrows for archery.

Save your money & buy a different scale because this scale isn't accurate at all. I can weigh the same item 3 times & get a diff reading everytime!
