Description states "One size fits most" . They don't state the size just that statement... Too big guess I'm not most.

I'm very disappointed with the quality of this product. I received the hat in the mail today and, after buttoning the sides to lift them up, I tried to unbutton. One side broke immediately and the other side's button doesn't hold strong enough. For all of the good reviews, I expected a hat that wouldn't break after 5 minutes.

in recent summers my old 3" bucket hat just wasn't cutting it anymore for sun protection. but alas, i can't quite pull off the full-on floppy sunhat beach bunny fantasy, either. well, i look stupid in this hat too, but it's the happy medium so i make it work. i cut a small hole in the back to stick my hair through, which looks extra stupid but it's better than having sweaty hair hanging down my neck or trying to smush it all inside the hat. i popped on some buttons i like in a vain attempt to distract some of the attention away from my fashion faux-pas... but back to the product's performance. i wore this on several super windy, sunny days "deaw'na shore," including a dolphin boat tour where i would normally be at the mercy of the elements. this hat keeps the sun off my face and stays put thanks to the silly looking chin strap. function over form is the name of the game here, and this was the winner for me (omg i can't believe i actually typed that but i don't have a better closing line).

So I am redoing the review here with the picture of this hat. I got two colors. I thought I would be slightly disappointed with one of them. Instead, I am OVER THRILLED with both hat colors & types--one with the mesh (which I like slightly less) & 3 of another color from the same seller. The stitching is super precise & detailed, the size is perfect & generous for both women & men--not too large for women. The quality is superb. I am so thrilled with the utmost quality that I intend to get more. It appears all types have the tie & I am doing a happy dance. Rarely do you find such quality & so much satisfaction. YIPEE! Amazon, please keep this seller on board! This product is going like hotcakes--super fast. I had to wait until they had them in stock once again & some are selling out already in a matter of a couple of days. That says lots.

really am happy with this purchase and product. High quality and great price. Other comments say it didn't have vented mesh....it does. I just wanted to clear that up for those that read that other comment about the unvented mesh. Clearly, if your want a head covering for the summer sun and heat this aspect of hat design is important. I could see myself running miles and miles under the harsh sun and temps exceeding 110 degrees just pounding away in ecstatic throws of agony knowing that mesh is allowing my head to be cooled and steam released. just sayin.

Totally disappointed as this was suppose to be gift for my husband but there is no way to adjust the size so it will not fit his head! The description said men or women???

I purchased this hat to help ward off the sun while out doing cardio, or anything outside requiring additional sun protection. It is well vented allowing airflow to keep the head cooler than fully covered head gear. It is otherwise well constructed of a very comfortable fabric. Needless to say, I only used this hat every other day for approximately 2 to 3 hours in that I have a large rimmed straw hat I use for lawn work which I've had for many years. The hat has yet to be washed, but is clean. All was well with this hat, until about 2 months after purchase. The snaps which, well, gives the "boonie" to the Boonie Hat simply fell off. They had not been used but once since the wide brim was great in warding off the harsh sun. It was today, great Fall weather with a bit of sun, where I wanted to pin up the sides of the rim. The snap simply fell off. Now I am the owner of a great concept with one less snap, and of course a lop sided "boonie"

I purchased two of these hats for my grandsons for Easter. I actually used the hats as their Easter baskets, which turned out great! The hats seemed to be a good quality, only time will show if they hold up as well as they seem like they will. The snaps on the sides are good quality and hold tightly. The string and tighteners are good. I like the mesh strip incorporated into the hats. I believe that will be a real positive in the summer when it’s hot out. One great thing about these hats is that the boys can fold them or wad them up and put them in their backpacks or their pockets and they are perfectly fine when they open them back up and put them on their heads. As I said, only time will show how well they hold up, but at this point, I expect they will still be happy with their hats next Easter and beyond! Best of all, the boys are happy with them.
